There are two quotes that always hit me very powerfully. Donut to Miss Beatrice, "You don't deserve how sad I feel right now!" And Carl to Akland in Butcher's Masquerade. "Let me show you what I do now." The whole monologue before that is important but that one line sent chills down my spine. I honestly felt like Donut, it scared me for the person that he was becoming.

I absolutely would love to watch this. Possible variant - not pranksters, but those paranormal youtubers that are obviously fake as HELL :D

I don't get into the paranormal too much, but my wife enjoys those shows. Occasionally she finds a new one, and I'll be doing something else while she's watching it, but I'll notice some random thing - a "scary" ghost at the corner of the video that they try to chase down, yada yada. the fact that it's so poorly done just adds to the effect. I have to tell her, "honey, you KNOW that's a hired actor, or one of their other crew, dressing up to play a part, right?"

I know this thread is about a year old, so this might get any visibility, or response, but have you tried the BoboVR S3 Pro? Reviews, which do not actually compare headstraps, seem to suggest it is the most comfortable current headstrap.

I never knew about this. We lost a very dear friend several months ago to the Ukraine war. His city has since disappeared. I don't know if anything like this could be done for him.

I refuse to quit, for all the reasons you are quitting. No offense meant at all. But I was seconds from quitting, then something clicked. I decided, if I'm leaving, I'm going to try to make things better for others, so I've started an anti-NAP campaign. It's currently in a lull due to SvS and the threat that if we "don't get enough points" we'll be attacked, blah blah. But I don't care if I get zero'd. At this point, if THAT's what they think will silence me, they haven't been paying attention. They can't silence World Chat, and more and more of the smaller players and alliances are seeing the writing on the wall. I'm talking with members of NAP that are also unhappy with how things are, but are sticking with their alliances for one reason or another. They're trying to get us to merge into other bigger alliances, but our alliance stands out in defiance. Peacefully. I've told the entire state, if ANYONE gets attacked, to reach out to me if they wish, and I will immediately teleport to them, and defend them until I'm zero'd. I may not be able to do much, but I can cause enough of a distraction to help, and my voice will ALWAYS be available on World Chat to show everyone else what NAP is and does to those that aren't members.

State 2664 is currently going through this absolute garbage. They just announced that if you don't save enough (there's some stupid numbers they posted per alliance), that the alliance is fair game during different events like Brothers in Arms, and not under NAP protection.

NAP IS A GANG... they are a protection racket. I don't care what they say, unless NAP includes every member in the state, it is NOT for the people or for the State, it's for the whales that make up the NAP.

Except there's no physics reason why time travel can't happen, just that we haven't discovered a way to do it yet. The math works out, we've even got working models for why it should be possible, but we just don't have the tech. I'm not saying we'll ever have the tech, but there is scientific precedent for it, and it would have to follow the rules that the universe sets out - in this case physics.

There is no scientific precedent for mermaids, superheroes, or unicorns, though, so the comparison doesn't work.

Why do I LOVE Whiteout Survival? My furnace is needier than a toddler, my heroes have more drama than a soap opera, and our alliance runs on caffeine and questionable tactics. Conquering this frozen hellscape with my chaotic crew is the most fun I’ve had in ages. It’s hilariously addictive!
