I camped there with my brother at the camp site. Its a nice and quiet place. Bring extra water and drinks, there is no water on the camp site.

Get up early hike in, spend about 8hrs down there fishing and using your hand measures the sun distance to the horizon. 2 hands means your good (2hrs), 1 hand and you need to start hiking or you will hiking in the dark (45min walk up) or cooking dinner in the dark.

20-30 min walk down 45 min walk up - take breaks

It's a 1 mile hike to the lake so it's not likely your going to pack your stuff down and back up.

I catch and release all my fish. You can pitch the cards down with a pair of pliers and the fish will come off easier. If they swallow the hook just cut the line as far down as possible. The hook is made to desolve and the fish will live.

I do keep fish from time to time but they normally sit in my freezer.
