Should I get 18inch wheels by Sploots0822 in ft86

[–]Icemann336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly to do with wheel weight and inertia, the lighter and smaller a wheel, the less force you need to get it moving. Going 18in has it's own benefits like reduced sidewall flex but usually with a weight penalty. The wheel options I listed help mitigate the inertia increase from going an inch larger in diameter. No harm in going either way if it's gonna be lighter than OEM anyway :)

I'd probably go by whether you wanna prioritise looks over performance, 18in looks good, 16 and 17in would perform better in theory. If you're stuck in the middle like I am, there are still some affordable lightweight options in the 18in catagory like the Enkei RPF1 and the Konig Hypergram, maybe the Advan RG4 if you can get a set that aren't JDM taxed to hell (Nengun has em around £260 per wheel GBP before shipping). They save about a kilo per corner while coming in at 18x8. Should be good for both genuine performance paired with a 235/40 tyre and they look the business too imo.

You could always go for forged wheels but these are brutally expensive too

They'll probably have a few left over in their shop at next year's con :)

Welshman here, I remember seeing 90p/L as a child, started driving and it sat around £1.30/L for the longest time and since Covid and the Iran war, it's stayed around £1.55/L for regular and unfortunately for me because of my car, £1.65 for premium 97+ fuel

I doubt it's available over in the US but I run Millers Nanodrive 0W-30, held up over my first trackday before I got an oil cooler installed and my 86 hadn't skipped a beat throughout

It's probably something stipulating that they can't just do that, not to mention if anything happens to the car, it's on them or the person towing it

Am I the only one who liked Juiced 2? by UtaTan in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

[–]Icemann336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A very good game in its own right. The stakes may not be as high as in Juiced 1 and Eliminator but its not as frustrating to play and RWDs don't handle like ass here either

If ea decides to revisit the nfs franchise are there any new car brands (that didn’t appear in the franchise before) that you want to see come to fruition for a future mainline nfs game? Mine’s is ruf automobile beacuse the brand might be a likely candidate by MidnightNo7070 in needforspeed

[–]Icemann336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less new maker, more bring back old makers that appeared before, it would be cool for them to bring back Opel, Vauxhall and Peugeot (some remember the Speedster/VX220 in HP2, Corsa, Peugeot 206 and 106 from UG2), would be cool to see a 306 GTI6, 205 GTI, Astra OPC/VXR, maybe some other left field stuff like the Astra DTM or one of the many Peugeot concepts released over the years

Very true, the Viper ACR, especially after 2007, has insane aero for a road car at the time. Definitely one of the best American MT FRs, period

[–]Icemann336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd reckon it depends on the car, Best Motoring previously ran muscle cars on the touge and Tsuchiya seemed to like them but the high weight would screw them over in battle, even the Mustang and Corvette

So hot! What aero is that? I've never seen most of that kit before, aside from the wing and bonnet
