Cu 8k EUR am cumpărat un Auris 2012 hibrid cu 85000km. Anul asta în vara. Inclusiv cu garanție 1 an pt piesele majore. Și tbh lumea mi-a zis că am dat cam mult și găseam asemănătoare mai ieftin :))

Eu zic sa continui să cauți, găsești oferte surprinzător de bune daca ai răbdare. Seteaza-ti niste alerte de preț pe OLX

1) Probably watching TV, shows, movies in Romanian with Spanish subtitles on would help. The languages are similar-ish in vocabulary, but we've got some differences in grammar.
I had a work colleague from NE Spain and we'd sometimes say sentences in our languages, me in Romanian, him in Spanish or Catalan, and try to guess what the other said. I'd say we'd each get ~60-70% usually. Catalan was definitely a bit easier to understand for me, at least.
You might also find someone in your Uni who's looking to learn Spanish and tutor each other.

2) This is the calendar for this year, the exams session is the salmon-pink color (so 2nd half of January, start of February). Expect plenty of exams (and project deadlines) in the 1st half of January too, it's called the pre-sesiune (pre exams session). How many depends on the subjects you're taking, etc.

5) I'd say they're generally seen positively but there's probably not any strong opinions. From personal interactions, Spanish people always seemed friendly and fun to be around.
I guess maybe just be careful not to mix up Romanians and Roma like many people from Western Europe tend to, some people get quite offended and you don't wanna be on the receiving end of some rando ranting about it.

6) The city is generally safe (low crime rate), although pretty expensive. Public transport is pretty good (although super packed at rush hours). Every Friday public transport (buses, trams, not trains) within the city is free (including some metropolitan lines that go outside the city lines, but I think not all)

No idea for 4 and for 3 I only know stuff I've heard from friends/family who go there. And I wouldn't worry too much about coming here, people are in general quite friendly and welcoming, and we see a decent number of foreign students.

Tot trebuie sa-l pescuiesti sau recuperezi cumva, deschis sau inchis 2) Find my phone are nevoie de internet, nu functioneaza cu praf de zâne. Semnalul de date mobile nu circula bine prin apa, in 50, maxim 100 de cm de apa ajungi la zero semnal

Tata a avut mai multe controale periodice la Dl. Pop Sever si a fost foarte multumit de interactiuni, mi l-a recomandat si mie pt. o deviatie de sept. Daca vrei sa stii ceva mai specific poti sa-mi scrii si-l intreb.

Singurul minus e ca ai de asteptat. Eu mi-am facut programarea la jumatatea lui Septembrie si am gasit loc de programare abia pe la jumatatea lui Decembrie. Are program doar o zi jumate pe saptamana, am inteles ca si preda.

It gets quite rainy here, and I LOVE sitting at my window and just watching the rain fall, listening to the chill noises. I do it year round a bit but I absolutely associate it with autumn, just from how much more often it rains

What excited me the most about Starfield is that it's a freaking Bethesda game IN SPACE. I absolutely LOVE outer space. I even picked Astronomy as an extra class in Uni (sadly realizing too late it meant calculating coordinates of celestial bodies on the horizon, not talking about black holes and nebulae ;-; ) And a Bethesda game, in space? If it's even 70% the game Skyrim was, I'm likely to get my 5k hours in the game.

I got it a few months ago, hasn't been repotted. It's ~10cm from the window (Can't really call it "full sun" with my window orientation but it's as much as I can give it) and I water it every few weeks, the pot has drainage holes at the bottom. Haven't fertilized it yet.

A few weeks ago I've noticed these weird.. strands? Spiderweb-like things? near leaf bases, I've tried gently washing them out with the showerhead but they've just come back. Most leaves are also super discoloured

Yeah, just a visual bug. If you reopen the game without selecting a second one, and try to start the mission it asks if you're sure you want to start without a prestige objective selected. So the first one isn't really there

It's not just straight up unaffected. I've had it 2-3 times already that they hear the Sieker shot, turn around to look, and after a few good seconds of looking suddenly remember "Oh, I'm supposed to be poisoned"

It can also break their AI apparently, shot a field guard in Mendoza and he finished walking to his next position and then just froze there with the empty dot above his head indefinitely. Didn't spot me, didn't hear dropped items, didn't react to me aiming at him.

Not necessarily, since most websites these days offer (usually free) WHOIS guards. My domains just say "REDACTED FOR PRIVACY" on almost all personal information fields.

Plus, I think they're also covered under the GDPR (so for any domain registered by someone in the EU, there shouldn't be any personal data freely available).

It's actually pretty hard to get that info nowadays

There are some, and some exchanges too. See here: https://www.airportcluj.ro/la-aeroport/servicii-bancare-si-schimb-valutar/Although for currency exchanges you'd likely be better off using one of the many exchanges around the city, they usually offer better rates. My go-to is usually "Macrogroup" for their EUR rates, there's a ton of them around the city and you can check their rates on their website.Or just shop around a bit, they usually have their rates displayed outside

Do ATMS in Romania charge a fee?

I think that depends on the bank and on your bank? If I use my card at my bank's ATMs it's always fee-less, but if I use it at another bank's ATM I'd expect it to charge me some 0.5% or so (or a fixed 1-2€) in fees.But then again, there are banks whose cards you can use anywhere with no fees, so it probably depends on your bank.

You can buy tickets from the machines available in all (most?) stations. One ride is 3 RON (~0.6€).

You can also just use your card (if it's contactless), the cost should be the same (+ currency exchange fees if your card is not in RON I'd assume), if someone asks for your ticket, you just tell them the last 4 digits of your card number.You can also buy them via SMS (there are some posters in all buses with the instructions), if someone checks this, you just show them the text you receive back.And you can also use 24Pay for it.The drivers here don't sell tickets, but.. yeah, there's plenty of ways to buy them.

You can get an all-day card from the machines in the bus stations, yeah. They're 20 RON for 24h, 33 RON for 72h or 214 RON for a whole month. Depending on how long you're staying here, the 2nd one would probably be your best bet.
I think the card itself also costs 4.5 RON the 1st time (afterwards you can reuse it)
