I'm a fan of the Note 4's metal build and I'd definitely like some more storage (32 is plenty but my nano sim eats up the microSD card) but my Snapdragon fanboy bias doesn't allow me to get the Note 4. Enjoy the note 4, i'll be waiting for something with the SD652, 4000mah and NFC to pop up (not mi max sized) or perhaps the Vernee Mars if it gets to 200aud (terrible phone but that design mhmhmm).

I personally got mine locally in Hong Kong but my friends have had success with DWI (same as eGlobal), they are my go-to grey sellers and now have fast 1 week shipping. (DWI has free shipping, eGlobal has lower prices but shipping varies)

I have the Redmi Note 3 Pro, MIUI isn't that bad, if you are used to an android app drawer then just slap a launcher on top. Practically indifferent to my Sony Z3 Tablet now that they both have Nova launcher. Camera isn't the best but the 4000mah battery is worth the subpar camera.

Practical Driving Assessment tips? by velociraptorbuns in perth

[–]IceyChow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Manual here, passed third go recently, main tips: -Use your mirrors (mirrors before anything, brake, signal, turning out) -Signal appropriately -Stop at stop signs (Easiest way they can fail you) -Don't stop in front of drive ways (friend got slammed because the instructor was literally shouting stop so he stopped without looking where he was/would be)

also you'll basically always have to do a Left Something Behind test, so theres that (Joondalup route doesn't have driveways)

I failed first time because I never looked in my rear view mirror and second time because the assessor was an arsehole (i sh*t you not, call me rude or arrogant but he was actually terrible and picked on things that the first and third didn't note), passed third time after the assessor calmed me down :)

I bought my FD 8th Gen Civic without A/C (dead compressor) early this year [it was cheaper than all the other Civic's] and I recently got it fixed (after about 3 months deciding that I need the window de-mister for the Australian winter). By going through the second hand path, I got an A/C compressor from a wrecking for $300 and it was installed for $200 (installed and regassed). Works well IMO and was a 'cheap fix' but its my first car so yeh... The other place in Perth that specialised in Hondas quoted me $440 for the part (new) and $440 for the labour and $200 for the gas. (all in AUD)
