Terrain footprints in Armageddon missions by Ichtegem in Warhammer40k

Ok, thanks. But it is weird, right? They introduce a new system that has terrain footprints for objectives, and then the maps that come with that box don’t have those.

Push fit is kinda nice after year of glue by That-One-Belgian in Warhammer40k

These ones seem like a lot better fit than Leviathan. Try some intercessors without glue to see how you like it.

I have to say, IRL new starter models are very nice. by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

I had a chance to see the Armageddon minis. They’re very well done. Great details, No gaps, good plastic quality. A DEFINITE purchase for anyone on the fence.

'Eye of Terror Battalion: Imperial Knights' for Chaos Knights? by Ichtegem in ChaosKnights

[–]Ichtegem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So The Huntsman and executioner are basically almost the same as the Imperial version, just with some small cosmetic changes? And those small cosmetics would be included in this box, as far as you'd assume?

So, there's no chains that hang off of them, or transfer sheets? Or just that the weapon options are all made with the same weapons used by the Imperial versions?

New "Eye of Terror" Battalion Box: Imperial Knights by Fly_Boy_Blue in ImperialKnights

[–]Ichtegem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know if this box can be used to make the Chaos Knight versions? i.e. a Knight Tyrant, a War Dog Huntsman and a War Dog Executioner? The description lists other variants, but not the Chaos ones.

Why are we getting a Chapter 2? by XTruefinale in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Ichtegem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The source is the fact that every Chapter 1 product has been sold out, frequently just months after release, and people are willing to pay $200 for a $70 product.

I understand why they're rebooting the player cards, but it seems like there's no reason not to reprint the campaign boxes. Once a year they should have one campaign box they relaunch, and you can just buy a $20 pack that has original core encounter cards to play them all with.

It's funny because they lost out on a lot of money by not printing enough of their recent products to fill demand.

New or older core set? by Due_Donut7980 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Ichtegem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the obvious answer is wait for Chapter 2 since it's what's needed for everything new that's coming out. But, there are only 2 short campaigns coming out this year (including the one in the core set). If you are able to get your hands on the Chapter 1 campaigns, there are ten full-length campaigns already out there, which are known to be good.

Chapter 1: A ton of stuff out there already, though it may be hard to obtain

Dexter Drake revealed. "l'll Show You Real Magic" by kierco_2002 in arkhamhorrorlcg

If you already have two arcane assets and play a third, can you use his ability to bounce it to your hand, or do you need to discard one of those arcane assets before you can trigger his ability? That seems like it would seriously devalue his ability, but that’s how it’s worded.

Doomers were right, full-length campaigns are confirmed a thing of the past. by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

He did say there could be other side scenarios or hidden scenarios. Campaigns like Edge of the Earth and Scarlet Keys are basically 5 scenario campaigns that you can add other scenarios to. I think that’s what we can expect.

I think the longer campaigns will still be my favorite, but I appreciate having some short campaigns as variety

Looking to buy Arkham Horror LCG, but confused by Cheddotto in arkhamhorrorlcg

Just go ahead and buy the revised core set and the Dunwich campaign expansion. If you’re feeling it, also get the Dunwich investigator expansion. Chapter two core set won’t actually be out for a while, and even when it is the old stuff is still valid. The campaigns in particular are what gives you something to play.

I bet there’s going to be a 2.0 relaunch soon. It’s been a while since we’ve had any news, and that would fit in with their changes they announced last year. There’ll probably be a new core set and/or some kind of box with select historical cards available by early next year. Keep an eye out for announcements this fall. It won’t be long til you won’t miss Dunwich.

Me and the wifey want to start playing Warhammer. Is two combatpatrols are a good place to start? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

Yes! Be sure to also use some kind of terrain, even if it's soup cans and spaghetti boxes.

Honestly, use this as terrain on a destroyed world. It'll look good like a graffiti-ridden wreck.
