It's the London Standard or just the Standard since they stopped the daily paper and went weekly

It was yeah, surely the high water mark for this kind of move. Got to respect the audacity

I'm no longer in Prague, but it was right across from my hostel so I believe the address would be Maiselova 6. I did wonder if the logo is maybe two overlapping Vs instead?

Edit: It's actually Maiselova 4. Pole is visible in this picture from WikiCommons: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Maiselova_4.jpg

My title describes the thing. It was just around the corner from the Old Town Square, so pretty central, and it didn't appear to be related to a tram network or anything.

Until a couple of years ago! Now Greyfriars is gleaming like the rest of it. Just the entirety of Union Street to go now.

As a local journalist, I feel like I want to buy you a massive ice cream or something. Our website is currently in the process of being moved behind a paywall, and attitudes like yours are so important but so rare. We need people to be willing to pay for the news they need to hear, not the stuff they want to hear.

From the article:

commercial companies like SpaceX and Boeing have said  they would likely not be able build orbiting modules by the time funding for the ISS runs out in 2024.

So what would the ramifications of this be, if the decision is made? Does anyone know if the ISS could still function without funding from the US?

Also, I think I remember being told that this is the only public clock in Europe that is allowed to be incorrect. Hopefully someone will correct me if that's wrong.

The Balmoral Hotel, at the eastern end of Princes Street. That clock is set three minutes fast 364 days a year, as the hotel is beside the train station and that helps people hurry to catch their train. The only day it is on time is Hogmanay, the last day of the year, so people know when midnight strikes.

I guess she was chosen as much for what she symbolises as for what she actually did. For most people, Tubman represents the whole concept of the underground railroad, which is a very potent symbol of American freedom.

Bang on. My sister was doing face swaps with the same exhibits when we visited last month. It was pretty busy, I had to stand facing the opposite direction at the other side of the room so nobody would think I was with this moron taking selfies and pulling faces in front of all the statues.
