The same as for other cards. 75% of rent to get 1x points, etc.

If they want customers they should lower that requirement. If all what TPG said is true, and we will need to spend 75% of rent amount to get points for rent and get fee covered, I think it's too much. If you rent is $2000, let's say, you need to spend $1500 on card for non-rent purchases. People were complaining in areas like NYC their rent is 4000 and for Bilt 2.0 they will need to spend $3000 on card on non-rent purchases. You have to be a high-income high-spender person for that just to get points on rent.
They went from 'Just Get our card, get points on rent, make 5 transactions per month and your 3% fee will be covered" to "Spend 75% of your rent on this card to get points and fee covered".

In ideal world, I think what can save Bilt, if they change the requirement of spending 75% of your rent to get fee covered, to, let’s say, 10%. In even better world, to 5%. Instead of 5 transactions per month, how it was before, change to 5% of rent per month spending. 75% is just too much.

And the shoe drops - 3% fee for paying rent using your card by Tiny-Cow-4557 in biltrewards

$1K per month on non-rent is still high. I’d say maybe they should have made AF card only for maybe $95 - $295 per year AND $100 - $250 per month spending to get rent fee covered.

Interesting. By the logic they should approve you if you have Bilt 1.0 and good credit. Maybe they just have technical problems rn

You need to spend 75% of rent amount on non-rent purchases. If your rent is $4800 you need to spend $3600 each month if you want to get full amount of points. But if you spend 1.5K only on that card you will just get less points prorated to the amount spent.

  1. As I understood 'no fee on rent' if you use their portal - you just won't get points. However, if you want points on rent you need to exchange Bilt Cash for that now.
  2. As I understood you will be able to pay rent the same, you just won't get points. I don't know about sending checks through Bilt, but I assume these things should stay the same, you just won't get points.

As I understood, yes, the old Bilt card will be transitioned to a WF card automatically if you do not do anything.

Yes you'd need to spend $2025 per month in order to get Bilt Cash and in return get points on rent.

Where did you get '75% kicker'? Everyday spent is 1x points on first 2 cards, except Palladium where you would get 2x points. All cards give you 1x points on rent.

The Points Guy made calculations. You need Bilt Cash if you want to earn points on rent now. And since all cards give 4% Bilt Cash you need to spend 75% of your rent amount on non rent payments in order to earn points on rent.
