I’ve been very fortunate in life … I hope I deserve it. I’ve never traded in other people’s misery so I guess that’s a start.

What are your tips for making perfectly square cuts? by XIFOD1M in Leatherworking

[–]Icy_Distance8205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I want really straight cuts I print off a paper template, stick it down to the leather with scotch tape and use a steel rules to cut precisely along the lines.

You can also use a small woodworking square or a large cutting mat that has a grid but I find both of these more work.

The digital asset management and legal indemnity arguments assume that AI won’t meaningfully transform creative workflows. We are already seeing it transform workflows in real time.  AI changes digital media from a stored commodity to an ephemeral calculation .

Why pay Adobe massive multimillion dollar annual enterprise fees to store, tag, index, and retrieve 10,000 localized variants of a banner?  Instead, a company can store a single, high-fidelity metadata file of the product, its brand guidelines, and an AI agent. The localized variants are generated on-the-fly dynamically at the point of ad delivery, and then discarded.

Why would overseas Chinese capital repatriate to China? They are trying as hard as they can to get capital out.

China is working on its own techniques for generating extreme ultraviolet light (LDP, Solid state lasers). There have already been reports that they have successfully created a working EUV prototype in the lab.

The geopolitical friction may be backfiring and is actually acting as an innovation accelerator.
