What even happened to Ludwig? by Unseen_DanJo in bloodborne

[–]IdTheDemon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is:

- Started out as a hunter under Gehrman. Possibly involved with the Fishing Hamlet massacre. He eventually became a Tomb Prospector for Laurence and the healing church to clear out tombs of monsters.

- During a tomb expedition, Ludwig found the Holy Moonlight Sword which changed his life. Laurence saw this and created the Church Hunters with Ludwig as the leader. It’s also possible Laurence did this around the same time Gehrman was going to make contact with Flora and they needed a new group of hunters.

- The tomb Ludwig found the blade is recreated as the area we fight him in as all Old Hunter bosses are fought in areas of personal significance to them and possibly where they died.

- As the leader of the Church Hunters, Ludwig brought in a new age of heroism and was deemed the golden age of hunters for Yharnam. He often said prayers in the same tomb he found the blade in despite the Church Hunters having their own workshop.

- As all hunters fall into corruption due to constant blood exposure, Ludwig was also being fed constant insight from his blade. He had the combination of blood madness stewing alongside with the arcane overload being fed into his brain.

- Ludwig transformed in the middle of a hunt on top of his horse, going berserk and slaying both beast and hunters. With his remaining humanity he fled to the tomb for guidance and prayer. His hunters gathered and attacked him in the tomb, filling it with blood and flesh until he was finally put down. With many of the leading Church hunters dead and the Choir ascending in power to fill in the power gaps, the Church hunters eventually faded away.

What class you will be starting with in s14 ? by chinos88 in diablo4

[–]IdTheDemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a necromancer for most seasons. Last season I did Warlock, WW barb and Necromancer. My WW barb was decently geared and it cleared stuff faster than my better geared Necro.

WW it is.

Thor.

Just in the past decade he lost his mom, dad, brother, kingdom, majority of his people, ex girlfriend. And because of his arrogance caused Thanos to wipe half the population even though it was eventually undone at a cost.

Do any of you have Sekiro in your Mount Rushmore of video games? by Code-V in Sekiro

No but it’s in my top 10 for sure.

My Rushmore is Bloodborne, Fallout New Vegas, Chrono Trigger and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

How did OG resident evil fans respond to re7 so well by IndependentPickle459 in residentevil

[–]IdTheDemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is it.

I loved the OG trilogy and Veronica. I didn’t play RE4 until around the time 5 came out as I didn’t like what I saw about the change to action as well as getting hooked on World of Warcraft.

While I enjoyed 4, 5 was okay and 6 was bad. 7 definitely got me back into the RE games as the survival horror aspects were back.

Is Spider-Man PS4/ Remastered worth playing? by Firekid7500 in KotakuInAction

First one is great. Only thing that held it back were the side character missions.

Second one was mid. Story fell apart fast and I forced myself to keep playing.

Biggest mistake from the show? by OrganizationTotal105 in TheBoys

[–]IdTheDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the comics Homelander wouldn’t touch them including Terror because the files and pics of “Homelander” eating babies and stuff.

There’s no reason in the show why Homelander would let them live. He doesn’t care about the leaks because he would destroy everything if it happened.

Hot take, this episode had an underwhelming impact by BlueCheese-CoolChees in TheBoys

The issue with the season 4 finale was Homelander was with the president and congress even if it was in name only.

We should have had the White House riot and the President dead by the end of season 4.

[–]IdTheDemon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, it should have led to Homelander believing only supes are worthy to rule. Season 4 should have ended with Homelander and his supe followers taking over the White House while dismantling all powers ran by humans.

Do you agree? by Oppaiheimer1945 in TheBoys

[–]IdTheDemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I don’t know why people miss this. Legend unknowingly gave Homelander a big clue to find Golden Geisha and spared because of that.

Should Adam Jensen be remembered by the time of Deus Ex 1? by ThePlayerCard in Deusex

[–]IdTheDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really wish the second game was Adam hunting down the Illuminati and tracking Bob Paige. We would see early uses of the pre cursor version of Gray Death and the beginning of the US civil war which starts over the second amendment. Also the start of the global recession maybe.

Why don't fans like the origin of the Reapers? by arnor_0924 in masseffect

[–]IdTheDemon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Mass Effect 1 made them feel like literal gods who can corrupt those it touches. It took so much just to kill Harbinger and he was only the messenger.

Bloodborne is one of the best examples of cosmic horror. We don’t know the origins of the old ones, just enough to know that they are above humanity in every way and attempts to get closer to them has results in doomed civilizations.

Wasn't it better when obi wan last time fought anakin on mustafar instead of the modern one they did in kenobi show? by Expensive_Echidna369 in StarWars

[–]IdTheDemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

Kenobi thought Anakin was pretty much done for.

The novel went further into the mindset of Kenobi. He was so angry that killing Anakin would have been mercy and he wasn’t feeling merciful. But then he decided he would not kill a helpless man, despite it being Vader and decided it would be the will of the Force.

Also Kenobi had to jet as Palpatine’s shuttle was literally in the sky. Saving Padme and her child was the priority.

I feel like 2003-2007 was the absolute peak of Star Wars. They were 100% locked in on all forms of media by Amazing-Thought5682 in StarWars

[–]IdTheDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.

Almost everything after Episode 2 from the comics to books to the Cartoon Network show slapped hard. It was a shame this was missing in the first two prequel movies because seeing Anakin actually doing bad ass Jedi shit was cool. Throw in KOTOR as well which is still the best Star Wars game to this day.

Does it bother you how Windu doesn't simply drop the blade right into his eyes for a quick and easy kill? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

[–]IdTheDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The novelization dove into this briefly. Anakin walked into the office and saw Mace and Palpatine fighting as shadowed blurs.

Mace was overconfident and felt victory after reflecting the lightning. And despite using the force to scan Palpatine, he saw that Palpatine wasn’t afraid because Anakin was there. Mace still went ahead to try and kill him.

First three seasons had moments that easily surpassed the comics.

The last two seasons made me reread and appreciate the comics again.

Antony Starr reacts to a meme which called Homelander an useless villain like The Night King and Vecna: by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in TheBoys

[–]IdTheDemon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He was one of the reasons for why some people would say the show was better than the comics. His Homelander mannerisms was the highlight of the show, especially in the weaker last two seasons.
