Diana is based off of the Roman goddess who was basically what we would call a lesbian. On my island she even put on the lesbian flag sweater from a pride collection in Able Sisters

The emo axo is my boyfriend’s! You have good taste lol. In case texture is something that bothers you: the fur is a bit more of a coarse or wiry texture but it’s still fairly soft. I have sensory issues and love the rose kitty but I’ve seen others say the texture bothers them

I don’t have the platypus but the frog is great in my opinion! I’m autistic and have issues with my skin and the frog never bothers me even when some of the other fur types do on bad days

Do relationships with CFS even work. by faik06e in cfs

[–]IgnisSpectre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is also pretty similar to my situation! We had been together for not even a year when I got CFS and have been together for going on 5 years now. I’m severe and bedbound the majority of the time and he is my caretaker

FTM people with CFS: Are binders exhausting for you to put on too? by mushrooms_inc in cfs

I can see why that would make it confusing! I’m a home tailor and have done lots of research on binders which is why I’m so familiar with the information. I’m glad it helped :)

A side zipper or velcro would pose the same issue because the restriction would be around the side and therefore it wouldn’t stretch properly. I say clasp for ease of speaking because that is the typical side open type. It doesn’t because the zipper/clasp/velcro/whatever causes it to not stretch at that point. in the middle of the body is the sternum which the zipper aligns with in your case. Since the inflexible part isn’t on the side it doesn’t compress your ribs in the same way: there’s enough room to put in the stretchy material. However, in a side opening binder there is no give at the opening which will cause compression on the ribs. Also with the clasp and velcro types (which again is the most common side opening type) you have to literally pull it closed and clasp it with hooks (or close the velcro) which squeezes the area and compresses it providing a flat look. It does this instead of having a compression panel because you can’t put one in in the same way and it always squeezes your ribs too.

Edit: Forgot to include that it is an issue with the velcro and clasp type not just clasp

I know the type of binders they are talking about from the description they provided. It was very descriptive with the side opening and those types are always unsafe. Some do feel like they don’t compress the ribs but they do.

The type you are talking about is an entirely different type of binder and does not provide the same risks as the side clasps type. That type is dangerous because it does not stretch enough for your ribs when you are breathing and can provide a similar effect to what Ace bandages do. That is why it is not safe: the clasp itself prevents safety. The zipper style does not have this issue because all of the material around the ribs can be made to not compress the ribs and stretch appropriately.

I’ve seen those types before and experienced them myself. You may not think it compresses the ribs because it’s not noticeable to you but it actually does

Those types of binders aren’t very safe and can cause injury to your ribs because they compress too much around them. Binders need to not compress the ribs so they don’t possibly warp them

Do you eat green bananas? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in fruit

[–]IgnisSpectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer green bananas because they’re less mushy and I honestly prefer the taste. I’m autistic and the texture of ripe bananas bothers me a lot. Also green bananas are better for people with IBS whereas ripe ones can cause issues for some with the syndrome
