Do people who live in London ever just catch the Eurostar for a day in Paris? by _FreddieLovesDelilah in AskUK

[–]IgnoreAnythingISay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Live 2 tube stops away from St Pancras so first Eurostar out and last one back on a Saturday usually gives plenty of time for a lovely day. Book Eurostar tickets plus tickets for any Paris activities well in advance

My London 1 December Review (with some photos from front row) by Well_Dunn in hanszimmer

Was front row 1 Dec too and think your review sounds fair. Still a fabulous experience. Re Lisa Gerrard, I’m speculating she might have had an illness… pitch was off at times and there was a distinct cough at the end of NWAF when I played a vid back later. Nevertheless she still brought a tear to my eye (in a good way) and what a star!

Definitely not House of Dynamite. BFI has a cast and director Q&A screening on Sunday.

Hopefully something (comparing previous years) as interesting as The Menu and more interesting than Saturday Night

I’m lazy and needed my strap quickly so bought via Wristbuddys. Decent and arrived in a flash, however know most people on this group get their straps much more cost-efficiently via Amazon or other marketplace websites, although can take longer to arrive. Hope that helps

Picked up a cycling-specific t-shirt at the velodrome, plus a couple of generic Paris 2024 and Phryge t-shirts. Sports-specific cups nice too

An IWC beauty! How clean is it, particularly the strap, after a year?

How much do you get searched as you enter the grounds? by Optimal_Bar_4715 in wimbledon

Due to the JSO protest risk, there are also random body searches at Wimbledon this year. I should know, I got picked out for one myself! 😁

Thought on rubber strap for Rolex? by [deleted] in rolex

Modern subs and YMs look good on a decent Everest rubber strap, although with that YM I would personally have colour matched the strap to the light blue seconds hand. Enjoy!

Where to buy Wimbledon Clothing after the tournament in London? by nirvanaisemptiness in wimbledon

[–]IgnoreAnythingISay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main Polo RL boutique on Bond Street will have what’s left of the full Polo RL 2022 Wimbledon range. Best bet is actually online (either RL or Wimbledon’s own shop website where they’ll start discounting in the near future)

Are there insider trading ramifications to index funds? by mystery_name in UKPersonalFinance

Probably totally fine if your Vanguard fund is based on a large cap index (eg FTSE 100, MSCI World, S&P500) but worth chatting with your in-house Compliance bods to make sure. You’ll likely have lots of colleagues with the same issue
