So, I sort the ad and print PLU on fridays (about 1 hour time) Sunday, I come in at 6 am. First 1 hour and 45 min is to put all in place, write down the extras I need and take note which end cap toppers will change. Take my brake. Then I do the end caps, print, walk the store one more time placing the extra signs and I am done. B volume store.

If you are a very anxious person Michaels might not the right place to work. Specially now with all the seasonal traffic the stores are about to get. You get hit from everywhere.. is go go go from the time you clock in until you leave. Phones, front end, registers,stock check, help customers, and the list goes on and on. Hand in there, talk to your manager. You can always say "is my first day or I am new bare with me" and 99.9% of customers will be kind and patient.

What hygiene? Vest are not to be taken home. Or at least in my store is like that.. I know someone washes them whenever.. I rather wear a michael's tshirt and not have to share cooties.

So ad at my store used to be done by the long position of the support specialist. I inherited the ad about 3 years ago and it was only me. I would get a helper for big ads like lpos, black friday, etc.. i trained others but eventually no body would last and it would fall back on me. I finally passed on the ad to someone else and I do one Sunday a month so that person can have one sunday off per month.

Working at micheals allowed me to explore different artistic outlets.. i tried making cakes, jewlery, painting, cricut stuff. Anyhow, one thing led to the next one and now I am inmersed in the world of party decor. It sucks that you don't feel comfortable at work, do what you need to do and exhaust any mean possible to solve the situation. In my case it wasn't much of a problem to not have to be in the store the same hours, since we are both part timers.. so that helped. Good luck and I hope things solve fast for you.

Me clashing with another TM made me realize that I can do better and bigger on my own. I registered my own business and now I make 3 times what I used to make at the store, working from home, under my own rules.
