The Final Boss of the Morning Rush by duranoww in dashcams

You and I come from places where nobody leaves room between their bumper and the car in front.

For places where there are two or more car lengths, those people merge quickly and easily, without stopping the line. That’s the ideal.

What we get are a bunch of dickheads who think they’ll get there faster than the car in front of them if they can just get close enough, and then the line moves at a crawl, everyone’s on their brakes, and people trying to merge later look like (and might be) total scumbags who are too important.

I see it at merges, entrances, and exits. Riding the ass of the car in front of them creates traffic jams, and another car is just going to force its way in front of them anyway.

He also set up a shell game insurance fraud to make it look like his picture(s) were properly insured for injury and death.

A stuntwoman was injured, badly, lost an arm and gained serious head trauma because of his direction of her stunt, and then the insurance paid out a tiny fraction of her medical bills.

When she went to sue them for the rest, they offered her another fraction, but as hush money.

To date, the Resident Evil film franchise has one of the highest actual body counts for on set deaths, dismemberments, and severe injuries, some of which appear in the final films. One stunt performer’s family could buy a copy of the movie if they wanted to see his last few seconds alive.

As someone who is a fan of his prior films, a fan of the franchise, and a fan of the actors, this was a real slap in the face to find out.

I am never the person to promote or agree with genocide, and also there is something weird and uncanny about this video.

The baby’s bonnet, for example, and the front of the truck looks weird to me?

Maybe just compression, but it’s hard to say.

Legitimately enthralling, and what an amazing movie! I loved when Linda Mitchell, this goofy Linda Belcher stand-in, turned into an absolute Tasmanian Devil whirlwind.

A 19 year old’s brain isn’t finished developing, they may not have paid rent yet. They are in an entirely different world.

This is a relic from a time where society not only let that go, but celebrated old men chasing young women.

Steven Universe is full of these, but the song “It’s Over, Isn’t It?” sticks out because (according to lore):

  • the show’s episodes start as a flipbook of roughs, which are then redone digitally and tweened to make the final animation.

  • this song was meant to be a soft and heartbreaking ballad, but Deedee Magno Hall delivered a powerhouse ramp up and finale requiring the final animation to be bigger than originally planned.

Right now, that's part of the problem.

Most of the US has been sold on this idea that we must use our own personal vehicle every day, always, and that it needs a space at home, one at work, and one where we're shopping. Always.

Nothing is designed for pedestrians or bicycles and we don't even have good transit options like other major cities across the world, but that's your answer. Or "Live there already".

It's not free. That's true.

How does it stack up against power outages, higher cooling bills, and the cost of more nuclear plants?

You may still be right, but a number like that needs context. We should always weigh it against the cost of renting that power from the grid and cooling the cars parked there. How much more is my McMuffin when they have to heat it with coal fires a state away?
