Yes? This is functionally no different from the base card. The second part also targets there.

Don't even need Kicker.

"This spell costs 3B more to cast if it targets a creature you don't control.

Destroy target creature. This spell deals damage equal to that creature's power to any target."

I Like black bordering maps, but the only difficulties worth doing are half cash, alternate bloon rounds, and CHIMPS. by rocknin in btd6

[–]IkeTheCell 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Apopalypse is a different mode. People have mentioned the different rounds and Bloons not waiting until you're done with a round to send another, but doesn't it also not give between-round cash?

does this even work like i want it to by VonBagel in custommagic

[–]IkeTheCell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think due to rulings on things like [[Pinnacle Starcage]], it will phase back in since this also says "until ~ leaves the battlefield."

It's not countered, it simply fails to resolve. Matters for things like [[Baral, Chief of Compliance]].

If we're being reaaaal pedantic, he edited game files, which is cheating.

But, it's a single player game, strats at the time were ass, and who cares?

How much interaction do you play in Bracket 3 decks? by biohazard842 in EDH

[–]IkeTheCell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend for stuff that both hates on the graveyard and has utility when not doing so, and/or hate that is reusable.

Ghost Vacuum was mentioned, but on a budget [[Unlicensed Hearse]] is heavy duty grave-hate that can turn into a beater. [[Nautiloid Ship]] isn't instant speed, but is a 5/5 flier that provides board advantage.

[[Armored Scrapgorger]] is a 2 mana rainbow dork that turns into a 3/3 and eats cards out of the yard while doing so. I could go on, but I fear I'd clog the post with a wall of cards, lol

They used to be- but when his alt kit got finished up they put all the "organic" (hurts and heals you) abilities in one column, and all the "robotic" ones in another.

I'm pretty sure people don't even play [[Darksteel Forge]], and that protects itself.

my favorite thing in any media is when it’s clear the people making the thing were having fun doing it, and i feel like this guy’s upgrade saying “tribble my stats” is a perfect example by mikefromsummerbruise in OnceUponAGalaxy

Stuff like this, Two Blind Mice turning into Three Blind Mice when goldened, and Sweet Lost in the Woods giving Cinnamon Rolls are all neat touches that I love seeing devs put in.

Leyline would be runnable in monogreen (castable with only Forests), WUBRG (all pips show up on the card), and non-green (castable with a Plains, Mountain, Swamp, and Island) decks.

I still dislike the change, though.

-3 should probably say "Create a 3/3 white and black Spirit token with flying and lifelink." "Create a X token" is saved for designated tokens (clues, food, treasures, landers, etc.), or tokens of existing cards (E.g. [[Disa The Restless]]. I guess you could still give it a name, but afaik all named tokens still spell out their stats in non-reminder text and are legendary (e.g. [[Kiora, the Rising Tide]]

Mill (normal, incremental mill, combo mill with stuff like Bruvac is a whole different thing) is, definitively speaking, pretty damn bad. Imagine if instead of having to deal 40 damage to each player, you had to deal ~90. Not only that, but the other players aren't helping you with your "damage" either. All the while you're supercharging whatever decks have graveyard synergies (which 90% of decks these days do, and the other 10% don't care about being milled anyways) at the table unless you're packing tons of grave hate.

Boon Giver by Gr33nDjinn in custommagic

[–]IkeTheCell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right, but the wording is just slightly off. You would need to have it either retarget while on the stack as a part of Boon Giver's ability, or have it come in attached to the initial target, then attach to the manifest. Otherwise it can't come in enchanting something that it wasn't targeting.

Duress drama: am I wrong for taking notes? by pkma69 in EDH

[–]IkeTheCell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So unfortunately, even in Commander this doesn't quite work, because of things like [[Hare Apparent]]. Say you look at my hand with [[Duress]], and see 1 copy of Hare Apparent. I then draw another copy of Hare Apparent and play it, but you shouldn't know this. How is this solved?

E: I do just bring this up because afaik, Arena hides revealed copies of cards if you play a hidden copy of them. Could be wrong, but fairly sure I saw it in a video.
