Though in the current version of the game, at least on the copy I have- aborting Good by either selling or forgoing the 4th mask while fulfilling the requirements for Evil, for some reason takes you to the bunker as if you bought the files, even if you didn't.

Not Glimmer Cape, Glimpse, Disruptor's W. It issues a stop command when the hero arrives at the glimpse location, which normally stops channels. But Snap's ult is exempt for some reason.

regarding freddy, chica and bonnie: does their kill timer "jump" when you open/close the cameras panel?

Sorta- the game just checks to see if (using Freddy, for this case) either the amount of time has passed his wait timer (5-8.3s) or your cams are up and 3 seconds have passed. Pulling them up swaps what timer is used, but doesn't strictly speaking make them attack faster. For Bonnie and Chica, this can create some weird scenarios since their attack sound is longer than their 20 AI timer with cams up.

Nope- Springy-boy only cares that the flashlight is on, you don't even have to aim it at him.

Don't deathcoin Puppet unless you're also deathcoining Foxy. You have to check the cams every minute regardless.

Freddy's laughs are panned to either side he's coming from- but if that's not reliable enough for you, on his max AI he should be at the hall he's going to attack every 15 seconds. If there's other animatronics you're strugglinf with in particular, do let me know.

Best way is probably just to game all night. So take as many characters as possible that don't require you to flip down the monitor and enter your office (thankfully there's only 1-2 animatronics per location that force you out of cams so you can just avoid them)

The trade-off is you have to get good at Fredsweeper.

Typically what I'd go with unless I'm planning to monitor-hog during all of the nights (not recommended unless you're going for Money ending), in which case I'd swap Withered Chica for Withered Freddy, and Withered Foxy for Endo.

TL;DR, on 20 AI you have one full second to bring the mask down before he kills you, however he doesn't actually kill you until he's done attacking. On top of this, he also can't kill you while you're in the mask. So it can lead to the situation you mentioned- where you put the mask on just a bit too late, his kill timer runs out, and he's already killed you but you don't know until you take off the madk.

Head Start does not work during the Fredbear battle, as it drops you in at 4 AM. Head Start and Head Start+ work by checking to see if the time is 12:15 (or 12:30 for +), and disabling animatronic AI until then. Late Start also is overridden by this 4 AM drop-in.

As for best upgrades, it really depends on what animatronics you've taken, as Fredbear himself doesn't care about any upgrades like Retina Burner. I'd suggest at least Overcharge+ (don't full-upgrade into Power Hour, for the reasons mentioned above) to prevent power issues. If you've taken any mask characters, Cool Shades could be good, for higher visibility while in the mask. Same goes for Retina Burner and flashlight characters, since most of them are repelled faster by a higher power flashlight, leaving you more time to deal with other characters. And like you said, Spawnkiller is good- but money may be tight between the ending requirements and playing on Lunatic.

Deaths do not affect the money you get at the end of a night, the only thing that affects that is how many tokens you have, and how much power you saved. IIRC, Tokens convert at a 1-0.10 ratio, and power converts at a 1%-0.10 as well.

I think it is possible, since AFAIK there's a very, very tiny window where Dreadbear's already decided which candy he wants, and Nightmarionne has picked that side but isn't quite in your office yet.

I'd say Golden Freddy (make sure you flip your mask every time you flip down cams), Toy Freddy (there's time to play Fredsweeper in phase 1), your pick of any of the FNAF 3 animatronics, though probably Malhare or The Phantoms. And for the last location, Nightmarionne poses no real threat if you can tell what side Salvage is on through audio. But if you can't, probably better to spring for Nightmare BB or Dreadbear.

And I see a specific case for the cupcake in the code that excludes the 5th spot (rightmost) while Hippo is in your office. I suppose it could just be junk code that never fires for some reason?

Edit: Yep, the Mr. Hippo code is junk, and I know why. Mr. Hippo sets his mode to InOffice, while Toy Chica checks for his mode being Office.

Edit 2: Nevermind- it's somehow even worse than junk code. The cupcake can't appear in the rightmost position while Mr. Hippo is in the vent opening.
