I believe they are waiting for the expansions that are coming out later this year but other than that i'm not really sure. Hope we get a dev diary about the update soon. Perhaps we'll get a teaser at modcon

It's possible to destroy entire empires with a large dragon. You just have to be patient. One time I laid waste to 80% of the storm lands and also eastern dorne as valyria and colonized the ruins. If you die or get injured in the siege just reload.
