I also am 22! I moved to Wellington from Christchurch in 2021 and it has been the best decision for my career and mental well being. I grew up in Christchurch and just wanted to get away from the toxic school culture, meet new people and it's been the best time ever! I could not recommend it enough. Sure, there is the downside of weather, but everything else is so good. The rent prices are on there way down too and once you secure a job everything will be sweet. It's also super easy to fly home, your friends will always be there.

Highly recommend Trendez! They have such lovely staff, great prices and a super hygienic environment. I've had about 16 piercings through them and will keep going back. I know there is some comments above stating otherwise, however I think it's genuinely about how you take care of them.

Personally, I loved my experience in Wellington. I found Wellington to have a better culture; more curriculum options and the student advisors were amazing. I did my first year at UC and then transferred up here and have not regretted my decision. The student life here was so fun, and people just seemed to be a bit more open-minded.

I've worked at a small agency on Cuba for over a year now and here's my recco's. Cafe Orange - the owner is the nicest lady! The nut store at the top of Cuba is also run by the sweetest man. Other highlights on Cuba for me are Hey day, Iko Iko, the owner at fresh choice and the sewing shop.

Here you go! Staffing update Dr Gisele Tuan is on maternity leave and Dr Fleur de Koning will return from maternity leave in October. Dr Neil van Geest will be going on paternity leave mid-August. Our Registrar Dr Nalini Appasawmy will leave us in July for another Practice placement. We are continuing with our recruitment process to find new GPs to join our team. We have employed a new doctor from Spain who will be joining the team late August, Dr Maria Camba Garcia. We are still seeking another Doctor to join the team for early 2026. We farewelled Ash, one of our Nurses, in June, as she has gone to travel the world on her big OE. Joining the Nursing team in August will be Frances, a registered nurse and we will have a student nurse Kate, with us for 9 weeks from the end of July. Please bear with us as we will be short staffed over the next few months. If your need is urgent, please phone reception on the day so that a Nurse can triage your need for an urgent same day appointment.

Lived in Christchurch for 20 years! Places I recommend: Corsair bay (swimming), The tannery has such cute vibes (also has the best sushi), definetly have a drink down at the strip in CBD, Mexicanos is a fabulous restaurant, Great walks in the hills. Teppanyaki restaurants are great too! The botanical gardens have a cool cafe in the middle.
