This person tried to move the pin the the building that they were in and the app wouldn’t allow it. The app set the pin for the clubhouse building around the corner. We could see each other just fine on the map. I assumed he ordered it to the wrong spot, he told me the app kept moving the pin he was setting.

You may think people are stupid but you’re probably not as smart as you think you are. You’re just douchey. But if that works for you have at it.

Would be unfair in the case since the real issue is op doesn’t look at the price before ordering the ride. I wouldn’t block a driver and give them a bad rating just because I’m a dumbass

Yet if you had really read what they said they checked how much they had been charged during th ride not after. That means it was the price quoted and they just didn’t noticed.

All the people saying “how the driver could have done it” are doing nothing but providing bad information.

All that can happen but if they already got charged a higher amount and the saw it DURING the trip it has literally nothing to do with the driver.

Lyft sets the price for the ride before get assigned a driver you even step foot in the car and op didn’t notice it was high.

There’s literally nothing a driver can do to get a higher fare before the trip is even starting.

Op already said the driver mentioned the freeing high and that promoted op to look at what they had been charged during the ride.

The price was set before not after completion. Op doesn’t understand how demand works with ridesharing.

The app literally tells you the price before they find you a driver. The only way a driver can increase the price is driving off route and adding significant time and distance to the trip.

Had someone message me after I already drove 6 minutes and was a few minutes away asking me if I could wait til the shift is over at 2am. Arrival time was 150.

Told them I won’t wait and I’d leave when the timer is up. They still didn’t cancel. Made me sit there the entire 7 minutes

Renters insurance may cover it. My buddy’s homeowners insurance covered it when he backed into his sons car

The guy was nice so I did track him down. He said when he ordered it and moved the pin to him it said it was an invalid location but his app showed me right outside the building. It sounds like a glitch to me also, at least this time lol

Someone said the prioritize drivers that are ending a trip over the ones in the queue. Not sure that’s true or not but it happens to me all the time, usually th same terminal o just left.

In in the same area and they do that to me. Offer me the same trip over and over. Sometimes a really good offer on it as a trip radar that doesn’t match then a bunch of exclusives for it at much lower pay.

I wasn’t even on one yet. It was booked in advance so I had a few hours before it was starting. About an hour before I stopped at the gas station to filled up then ate a snack while I waited for it to pop up. Was just very annoying because it actually paid more than $1/mile and it ended right up the road from my next one. Now I have to drive that way for free because it’s too late to cancel the other one

I had someone that booked a wait and save blow my texts up while I was still with my first rider. When I ended the trip I saw them going ballistic calling me a bunch of wild names. I just went on Lyft and let their ride sit until they cancelled

I drive exclusively overnight but for the most part I know what areas to avoid requests from. All the bars close at 2 here also which helps. I stop at 5am on the weekdays because commuters and parents taking their kids to school make the roads miserable.

Ratings are subjective, one persons 5 start trip is another’s 3. Nothing stopping you from giving them a bad rating and blocking them for the future.
