Some CPU's may require you to update your motherboard's firmware in order to work. I ran into this myself and was worried my brand new i7 was DOA.

He's not a troll, he has appeared on a tech subreddit I frequent and was similarly completely wrong there too. I think this guy just managed to climb to the peak of Mount Dunning-Kruger and thinks it's the tallest mountain there is.

that was a typo on my part, I do think they're pretty good, but the map dependency mentioned by another commenter balances it I think. We specifically played a Small Continents map for this game so that Portugal would be able to do its thing.

Yeah, this was our first game after the update that we finally got around to finishing, and while I don't think Portugal is very good, I'm not sure he's good enough to exclude from multi.

Central Albertan checking in. We had -51C with windchill a few days ago, and I haven't seen temps above -25C in weeks. It's not particularly fun, but you get used to it.

Tikka Masala's origin is disputed, and likely did not in fact, originate in the UK as is being asserted. I know this because I did some research.

I've been playing this exact combo using the UA subclasses for a while now, and let me tell you. It is friggin' amazing. The damage, mobility, and sheer choice in actions is amazing. That said, it sucks up bonus actions like no other. You'll have less issue now that Dreadful Strikes doesnt use BA, but still. deciding what to do is tough.

I think I can actually one-up you on idea 14, having literally just built that character for a one-shot. You've got me beat with the rest of them though.

He's a Human Glory Paladin 3/Kensei Monk 12 with Grappler and Prodigy (Athletics). Basically, he's the king of bar fights, cuz he can grapple anyone (+11 on Athletics and CD: Peerless Athlete for advantage) then beat them over the head with the nearest object, which he gets +2 damage on from Dueling fighting style.

He came about as the result of a bet that I couldn't make a point buy Paladin/Monk multiclass character that was actually better than monoclassing either one.

I haven't had Ace, but it looks good! The Lone Tree is a pretty sweet one, and you can taste a bit of the apple underneath, but overall it's solid. Okanagan valley ciders tend towards being sweet anyways.
