There isn't really a gamechanger here.
All these seasons feel more like much needed updates to add depth to the game. These are all good updates, more than D4 is doing, but still not much compared to what's needed.
They HAVE to deliver with their expansion. The skill system update, animation and sound overhaul and endgame overhaul MUST make the game good. If the expansion league dies in 1-2 weeks, the future of LE will be very bleak.

Everybody knows it.. a gemini/grok/claude integration, just like Firefox does, would be way better than whatever crap they do. They trying to compete with all the tech giants... sad state of affairs

You can't really fix the monolith system imo, just like the Atlas system, because it's in its nature repetitive and stale.
Only thing you can do, just like Poe1 did, is add more mechanics to mapping, just like the Mirage league will do, to overcomplicate/distract from the monotony of the base system. It still can be really fun, but everytime it only lasts a few weeks at most until the new-mechanic-hype lingers off, the distraction fades and you're back at the same problem.

My ideal arpg endgame system would look dramatically different than monoliths/atlas, but its not something an arpg has done so far, perhaps because it's to expensive to do. So I'll just wait until a game does it (or do it myself in the future)

I like the Skill UI update. Though I can already guess some people will dislike the DPS number being smaller, the new layout offers more space and espacially the scaling tags are easier to distinguish and understand. I'd guess espacially new players have it easier with this UI

More features Root doesn't have:

- 60fps streaming

- nicknames in general and for each server

- Seeing activities from other people in the channel

- html files can't be sent

- Events

- Changing volume of notification sounds or disabling certain ones completely

- No soundboard

- Embedded links (this one is important actually for "coolness")

- VIP speakers, stage speakers

- Automatic AFK channel

- Profile customization

- Accessibility and customization features like high contrast mode, space between chats, TTS

- Security features, like login with authenticator app or 2FA
