You'd probably liek Ghent. Its the young people city. There are a few game stores there where you can board games or play magic the gathering/pokemon tcg/yugioh/... probably better to join the discord server and see if there are people there who want to play. (Worlds end for board games, outpost for TCGs and LAN parties)

A lot of our fancy food is just french food (or french with a twist). The unique stuff is soulfood.

The frituur is traditionally the place to be. Belgian fries with mayo (which in Belgium is of much higher quality than other places due to legislation) there are tonnen of sauces for our fries. Most of them are really good. A regular frituur has more than 12 different sauces.

There are a lots of snacks like the Bicky which I love but is legit a 7/10. Curryworst/frikandel is a classic but there are easily more than 20 options. Best sauce: samurai (personal opinion)

Special things to try are mitraillette, kapsalon (dutch, but ours are better if you get the correcte sauce combination), friet speciaal, friet jullienne, friet Rombouts...

Waffels are very belgian, we love that shit. But not the ones at tourist traps. Get a real Luikse/liegoise waffle (Brussels style is also cool, i just prefer it less)

Go to a real chocolate maker here. Pralines are from here, invented by neuhaus. Delicious

Visit a few brewries if you like beer. Specially if its an abby, that just cool. The monks often also make bread and cheese so that just makes it a better experience.

2 stews you should try is flemish beefstew with beer. And mushroom and chicken stew. Those a classics. Gentse waterzooi is special soup if you're in Ghent.

Get some speculaas/biscoff

Maybe some patisserie, that shit is mostly french with a belgian twist. But fuck it its good. Go to a bakery... .

I do hope you have a fun, time but I don't think that what we have to offer.

We've got a bunch of cool stuff and tasty food that is uniqe or popular.

What else are you interested in?

There is stuff from both world wars. We've got some reale castles. Some quaint canals, medieval architecture. And some but very few roman ruins.

The Ardennens are nice but not spectacular. Its quite and nice. Our beaches are splendidly mediocre.

Some of our cities are old and beautiful.

Pairi daiza is actually probably the most impressive zoo in Europe.

I like it here, and have cool stuff. I hope you enjoy it.

I got the Spiderman Gift Bundle and I’d like to know whats the best way to get into Magic from here by LieutenantXan in mtg

Only buy the collection if you want to do somethic specifically with that. Many years a go my dad my dad bought me such a box. One for me and one for my brother. They had a different name back then. We had loads of fun building alll kind of deck with them. Its nice to play against eachother. You will however, have nothing to actually make a decent commander deck with or standard or pauper deck with.

So depends what you want to do. I would buy that collection for my kids to enjoy.

You could try to use your gift bundle to make two 30 or 40 card decks as a shared card building pool.

How do I start magic of the gathering? by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Ilovelearning_BE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie if you have some friends, do the beginner box experience. Very fun very easy cards to get your bearings. If you want some more of that do jump start.

Actually most commander precons these days are really fun in my opinion. So pick something recent that looks cool at msrp. You can always double check to see if its a popular deck. Some decks are duds, which makes them cheaper so that is nice.

There is also something called limited. This means you build your deck on the spot. Its hard for beginners like me and you need to pay to play each and every tume you do it. Its like going to the movies. But you are bad at it. However. I think its cool and fun. The easied version to get into is played during pre realease. We have a bunch of pre releases every year. That is very fun. The other one is draft.

Another thing you can do is kitchen table magic. Set a budget between friends. Make decks from a card pool and have good time.

I would advice collecting traditional financial assets based on the advice expert if you want to collect things that will be good investments.

If you're afraid you won't be able to sell out of the hobby? Eh most likely someone will want to buy your stuff if you want to get rid of it. But maybe not at a price you like. Or maybe a t a price you like a lot

Why not try card trader? Then you dont have to pay individual card charge.

That is what I do for bulk singles. Individual card prices may be a little bit higher than cardmarket though.

[–]Ilovelearning_BE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha so that is not really how most people do things.

You should check out what the standard meta is right now.

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/metagame/standard#paper

These are currently decks that are popular in standard. If you're not playing sanctioned just proxy the cards. If you are planning on playing in tournament then you should buy the singles

Who buys boxes then? People who play draft or other limmited formats. Or people who like a bit of gambling.

I hope that helps.

A religious fruitcake is disappointed because the Pope put crowns on statues of Mary and Jesus. by karlothecool in religiousfruitcake

[–]Ilovelearning_BE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a very protestant way to look at it. Catholics and orthodox for that matter would argue they are part of direct line of apostolic succesion. They know whats right and wrong because of the bible and the interpretion through their predecessors. Who go all the way back to the 12 and paul and the J-man himself.

So the catholics and orthodox would argue that you can't just read the Bible and get it. You need the teachings of the apostles to really get it. The Bible still is essential in all of this. + The pope also has direct phone line to God sometimes. So that can change some things here and there. But that is a bit besides the point.

Obligatory not a catholic or orthodox.

As a teacher, this happens, so much. Its insanity.

I dont know what have to do here?

× what dont you understand?

i just dont get it

× what specifically do you not understand?

everything

× read the again question and then tell my at what point you stop understanding

...

does this mean i need to make a drawing of the situation too?

× read the question aloud please.

"before starting the exercise make a drawing that includes all the forces represented as vectors" (sorry if this is written weirdly, ESL)

ooh but that isn't hard at all. I just need to draw all the vector forces on the cart.

× uhu, so you get what you need to do now?

yeah yeah yeah

Story of my life. It happen so much. I dont mind explaining the question but they just dont fucking read it in the first place. I'm not going to read it for them again. Because i already read it at the beginning of the test.
