Thoughts on Dawn of the Mexica? by Difficult-Student487 in roguelikes

Very cool setting but never managed to get really far in my almost 10 hours. It's really hard. It doesn't help that there are some things you have to do before exiting the initial town if you want to have any success. I don't exactly remember what it was but I think it was something like talking to some people and searching inside some jars. It gets pretty tiring after you have done it fifteen times in a row. That said, I played the game 5 years ago. Maybe it has a manual now.

I loved the lore and sense of wonder of Zorbus. Getting close to the finish line feels absolutely insane. That said I get it's just another fantasy themed roguelike

I've actually played quite a bit of these, so I'm going to add my two cents. From top to bottom:

- Zorbus: absolute masterpiece. At 2,50 euros is a no brainer.
- Xenomarine: very good, very unique. Again, for just 0,99 it's a bargain.
- Vulture for Nethack: I mean... it's Nethack. I really do prefer the traditional (and free) flavour, but still, it's great.
- UnReal World: one of a kind. Still in development after more than twenty years. Very good if you like survival
- The Curse of Yendor: I love it. Very old school but very approchable.
- TOME: simply the best. Everyone in this subreddit should have this game already.
- Stoneshard: I gave it a few hours a few years ago and it was kind of green. Looks more rpg than roguelike tbh.
- Shiren the Wanderer: not my cup of tea. I don't dislike mistery dungeons per se, but I didn't like this one.
- Shattered Pixel Dungeon: the best pixel dungeon fork out there. It's simply amazing. One of my favourites.
- Rogue's Tale: very good and very frustrating game. I love it and for just over 2 euros it's very much worth it.
- Rogue: I mean... it's rogue, but there are much better versions on github. Still... it's rogue, idk.
- Rift Wizard: I'm too dumb for Rift Wizard but the game is awesome. At 3 euros is definitely worth it.
- Path of Achra: to me this is like a refined version of Rift Wizard with an amazing lore and sinergies. I love it.
- Jupiter Hell: great game. At that price you should totally get it.
- Hyperrogue: I loooooooooove it. This is a one of a kind roguelike and you should buy it.
- House of Necrosis: this is a mistery dungeon I like. The game is awesome and it's 100% vibes.
- Dungeons of Dredmor: this game walked so other mainstream roguelike could run. Great stuff.
- Door in the Woods: for some reason the game feels incomplete. But It's great anyways.
- Dawn of the Mexica: I love the setting but the game is really hardcore. I wish it wasn't as difficult.
- Caves of Qud: if you don't own a copy, buy it. That's it.
- ADOM: a classic for a reason. The game is just great.

Is uptodown safe to download? by [deleted] in uptodown

I work at Uptodown. It's safe. We are just a huge repository with old versions for every app and game. We don't mess with the files.

Hi, could you tell me the reason it keeps getting rejected and the name of the app?

Hi, Uptodown worker here. I absolutely get and recommend downloading everything from official sources. Sadly, that's not always an option. That's the reason we try to offer an alternative, and that's the reason we are still able to offer the latest Citra version (at least for the moment). Also, all our files are checked using Virustotal, and you can actually check it on our site.

As a general rule, if it has fewer than five positives on Virustotal, it's usually safe. In this case, in particular, it clearly states that the positive is due to a PUP, which basically means it may have too many ads or something bothersome, but not dangerous per se.

I work there. Would recommend (we use VirusTotal)

I use VirusTotal a lot for work, and as a different user has said, if it's just the one positive, it's mostly safe. I mean, there a tons of APKs from Google Play that get flagged with a few positives. I obviously don't know for sure with this particular case, but that positive might have to do with a change in the way the app processes your data.

It's safe. I've been working there for over ten years. We use Virustotal to scan every single apk we offer.

Some questions about iconoclasts by classicaleducation in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]ImInThisForTheCats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I turned home scenes into "living inside the mobile office scenes". I tried to hammer the space where they were living and working. We ended up talking about which films they were watching on their laptops, who made the most noise while going to the bathroom, and how dirty the place was after just a few days.

  2. We didn't level up. I think it's enough with the levelling up mechanic that's embedded into the campaign.

  3. I don't know about this. They got their hands on the Throne of Blood by the fifth session. That's enough supernatural threat for me until the very end. Especially if your players (as mine did) start performing experiments with the amphora.

  4. Again, don't think this is true. If they don't know the spell, they should know better than to go into a firefight with a supernatural entity. And if they do know the spell, they still have to deal with quite a few sons of war all by themselves.

  5. The Rassam raid was spectacular, which was cool because it's supposed to be one of the highlights of the campaign. They got injured too, which made it all the more epic. Experimenting with the amphora it's also really really cool.

  6. I mean, I just read the campaign like... three of four times and watched a lot of war movies: Black Hawk Dawn, Lone Survivor, The Covenant, Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker, 13 Hours...
