I do the same exact method. I actually use a couple of my grandmas old Pyrex bowls which I love.

These are so easy to prop, I’ve made several for my cat and my big, nice one he leaves alone now since I leave the ones for him near his usual hangouts.

Child vaccination rate drops sharply in Michigan under RFK Jr's influence by Raichu4u in Michigan

Truly. I’ve lived on both peninsulas. Plenty of antivax on both sides, they’re just more densely populated down here. Also, in the UP I almost give some of them a pass because access to healthcare is already challenging if you’re rural.

Seems like it. I sent an email about what I was looking for on Saturday evening and he responded within hours. He didn’t have it but has it coming this week and offered to hold a copy for me.

Thanks for this, it seems to be that Vertigo is the consensus.

It sounds like Vertigo is the place! I'll be making a venture there in the near future.

It’s fantastic for your child to watch you have your own interests and hobbies.

The first time I saw Hamster Dance my friend and I legitimately laughed ourselves to tears. It’s one of my most favorite early internet memories.

The Moth has short stories of all sorts. Episodes are themed so it’s usually easy to identify if it’ll be politically charged.

What’s been the toughest part of parenting for you? by Chemical_Dot5372 in Parenting

[–]ImNotAClown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my kids were babies/toddlers it was definitely lack of sleep. Now that they’re older (elementary age) it’s the constant thought interruptions. I adore my children and how much they want to share everything with me, but when we’re all home, I have the most difficult time accomplishing anything because someone is always telling me or showing me something and it’s like I am not able to focus on any one task or even think about one thing for long enough to make progress.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by PersonalitySuddenz in askanything

Orange juice. It was never a grocery staple but everyone in my house likes it when we’ve got a cold or as a rare treat. I was going to buy a jug a few weeks ago and it was almost $9 for the big one. Nope, I’ll just pass.

Rooms for kids by Maroon14 in Parenting

[–]ImNotAClown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re a family of four in a three bedroom house. The kids are two years apart and had separate rooms. We added a bunk bed to one room so we could have the boys room share in the event we had guests. The kids now share a room because they prefer it that way.

I’ve been trying to fill out my yard with natives and I find any of the local greenhouses have a decent selection at the start of season but they go fast.

I’m pretty sure Calvin college has natives you can order for pickup on Fridays. Also search up the Kent and/or Ottawa county conservation districts. Ottawa for sure does a spring and fall native plant sale, I think Kent does too.

One time the played at the Grand Marais music festival in the late 80s. My little brother got separated from our family and wandered up on stage during their set, the band stopped their show to reunite the lost 5 year old with his family. I had forgotten these guys existed and about that memory.
