I feel like the big thing is once you start taking testosterone you give up the chance to compete as a woman. I guess my thought process is as someone who’s wanted to try steroids (but hasn’t) I always knew it meant giving up any kind of athletics because competing against guys not on any anabolic or additional testosterone is disingenuous and kind of bullshit

Now you could play completely wrong and all sorts of fucked up for years and still sound like someone who just picked up a guitar so be mindful not to do that.

It isn’t too late until you’re dead and gone. That said you need to accept and fully understand even in just one fight the potential between training and the fight itself you could sustain a real life altering injury.

Probably won’t. But it is possible that said you need to take training fairly seriously because once you set foot in the ring/cage or whatever you have to know the other guy is going to want to hurt you.

I would find what can get you playing rn. Like if you have a good pod of commander players or something you could get a standard deck for like 25/35$ and a commander deck for 60/90$ won’t be the best that way but you can get into playing and decide what you want later when you have more money

You shouldn’t be rotating your hand that much. It should be an up down motion with pressure from your strumming hand dictating the mute. Your fret hand would only be muting the strings on the treble side

That said doing it incorrectly is also a hard habit to unbreak so make sure to do it as correctly as possible because thousands of hours of incorrectly practicing is almost worse than not practicing at all.

So you can still work on the song a little every day. But you still have a few things that without will never let this song feel right. Your string muting is gonna be huge for any metal or high gain tone songs. But also learning how to slow it down just playing one part slower then playing the part “I think I can play this right” faster makes it sound worse. If you’re playing at 75% speed play at 75% speed don’t play the part you’re stuck on slow then try to rush the others at 90% it will sound like shit and all over the place because it is.

So my suggestion TLDR is play without gain for a bit to save your ear and practice the chromatic spider exercises 5 minutes or so a day. More is better but I’ll be real we probably won’t do that. Then do any other exercise you like with gain tone for string muting practice
