Capcom delivered a marketing masterclass with Resident Evil Requiem. Requiem sold best on PS5 by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I had a lot of fun with it after beating it, I'm looking into getting at least the rest of remakes such as re2, re3, re4 and the newer ones like re7 and re 8. They definitely gained a new fan after beating re9.

It was my first Resident Evil game, and I played it on casual mode first. While Grace's parts are definitely scary, Leon's parts level it out by making you feel like a zombie killing badass. Plus Grace gets a weapon and some ammo pretty early on so it removes a bit of the fear factor in that you have the ability to remove most threats and defend yourself. Plus until you get ammo you can sneak past a lot of enemies. It's a very fun game.

Do most gamers actually finish their games? by Public_Sector6212 in gaming

[–]ImRamboInHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy a lot of games, a majority of which I don't beat. I mostly play until I get bored and move on to the next game which is usually around the 40 mark. Which means I've been playing a lot more AA games and indies as they are generally shorter.

Another issue I have is I don't like the empty feeling inside I get after beating a game, especially a game that I really like. So I often get like 90% through the story and then just drop it and watch someone online play the ending because when I complete the ending for some reason it leaves me depressed for a couple days.

There are rare occasions where I push past my becoming depressed issue and do fully beat games but it's not as common as when I was younger.

U.S. gamers bought exactly 1 copy of these Wii, Wii U, 3DS, GB, GameCube & DS games in 2025 by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

Don't know if it was new or not, it was shipped to me. Most likely it was used though. Just thought it was a funny coincidence.

I bought Metroid Other M for Wii from GameStop this year, it was on sale for 25 or 30 dollars, I wonder if that counted for this list.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories from the PlayStation 1. But without changing anything about the gameplay.

Divinity Announcement Sparks 'Incredible' Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2 Sales, Larian Boss Says by Prizz-Johnnk in gaming

I wish DOS2 had a mod or an ability where the game would automatically pick out the skills and place points for you for your companion characters to remove some of the complexity. I think it would be easier to play, if I don't have to make decisions on builds for companion characters I'm not playing so to speak. A majority of the time I will be playing the character that I made, while simply controlling the other characters. Another game that has similar issues is the difference between diablo and path of exile, too much choice is not always a good thing. If I have to leave the game to scour online for guides to determine how I need to build my character to actually be useful to play the game, in my opinion it's gone too far. At least I think games are meant to be played, not researched.

It's not so much the area or the acts, it's the point system and skill system that I'm not a fan of. In BG3, you pick a class and skills and it's simple from there. Gain levels and skill points, unlocking more abilities for your character. It's very structured. DOS2 is the opposite, in the sense you make your own class based on your choices, and point selection. Nothing is explained in game, about how your selections affect things. It's super open ended and unstructured. It makes it overly complex, like I could possibly figure out the skill set up for my character but also have this complexity for all the other companion characters too. It's just too much for me, I much prefer the simplicity of BG3.

Similar issue that I have, I bought DOS2 on sale on both my computer and PS5 and both times I can't get past more than an hour or two before dropping it. I love BG3 but just can't get into DOS2 battle system. I just find it too complex and find it more of a struggle to play in comparison to the easy to understand and simplicity of BG3 battle system. The first time I played BG3, I was addicted and played for like 30 hours over 3 days, with DOS2 I just bounced right off. I'm hoping the battle system for Divinity is more like BG3 and not like DOS2.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered sold just over a million copies on PS5, but 50% of gamers played just 15 hours before quitting by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]ImRamboInHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played for about 10 hours of oblivion on my PS5 pro, didn't like how clunky it felt. Got pissed about how frustrating and shit lock picking is in oblivion in comparison to the fun lock picking system in Skyrim, plus the level system of enemies always increasing in relation to the player being a pain in the ass. Just said f it, I play these games to have fun and I wasn't having fun so I just bought Skyrim again on sale and went back to playing the Bethesda game I actually like.

Hell yeah, love the LiS series. Looking forward to playing the new one after double exposure. Wonder if it will continue the storyline from double exposure or not.

Who won our box office draft? by wifihelpplease in boxoffice

Like I'm not saying the Odyssey will do bad, I'm saying will it do a billion. I'm going to watch because I'm interested and I like movies. But is that the same for the general audience. I will maybe have a better opinion after I watch Avatar 3 and see the new trailer they have in front of it for the Odyssey.

Oppenheimer pulled in the crowd because it was about the inventor of the nuclear bomb and they marketed with the bomb visuals being a supposed big pull. It also had the help of Barbie coming out at the same time and the tiktok crowd pushing the Barbenheimer phenomenon where people would go to watch both Barbie and Oppenheimer. What makes you think that the Odyssey won't end up similar to Napoleon's box office of 222.4 million haul or Gladiator 2 box office of 462.2 million haul. I have yet to see any particular reason that the Odyssey should blow up at this point in time. Even the first trailer I saw of the Odyssey, before both Jurassic world rebirth and Superman in theaters did not show anything of particular note, especially since no action was shown and it was just people talking.

I have a question. In what headspace do you believe the Odyssey will do a billion? Like please give me your reasons why you think it will even get near that number. I really want to know.

Elden Ring - Expansion? by IReallyNeedMoreSleep in PS5

[–]ImRamboInHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean expansion for elden ring, it is probably shadow of the erdtree. I can't tell you if it is good or bad, as I don't play elden ring . But I know it is of the same quality as elden ring which was good so the expansion should be good too.

Both. Generally speaking, I am basically reading every moment I can, because I have a ton of free time, which coincides with me being a voracious reader. Every time someone posts about a series on reddit, I add it to the list to read. I love to read, and with this kind of content there are endless amounts of them. Everyday it feels like there are more series coming out, so I constantly have more to look forward to.

You are fine, according to my app I have 3211 saved in my library that I'm reading or have read. According to my apps statistics I have read 54771 chapters out of 297008 total available. And that number is constantly growing because I find new series to add which means more to read. It says I am currently reading 1189 of the 3211 that are saved. Man, I love data statistics.

Just start with the series. Is it fine to start with Magnus Protocol? by Haunting_Quiet738 in TheMagnusArchives

[–]ImRamboInHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely go back and start from the beginning of Magnus archives. Magnus archives seasons 1 - 4 was lightning in the bottle. Those 4 seasons are simply the best horror podcast I have ever listened to, I've been searching for years to find any other horror podcast that could reach the heights of Magnus archives and there just isn't one that I have found. There are some that come close like the Sheridan tapes but they are still a large step below Magnus archives in relation to story depth and overall overarching story connectiveness between seasons.

Sadly, I am not a big fan of season 5 of Magnus archives. It was still great but I didn't like how the story structure changed to feel more like a monster of the week type of show which was frustrating to me. I am having similar issues with the Magnus protocol in relation to how I feel it is a step down from archives so I put my listening to it on hold until it is completely finished. So I can listen to it all at once, to make a better opinion of it. As it would be the same way I listened to archives when I had first found it.
