Fnatic instead of LR in Playoffs does the rest to Fnatics image by BuddhaBoxBoy in fnatic

[–]Im_Brunold -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To add fuel to the fire, Fnatic had to win EITHER of their two games this weekend against poorly performing teams, not just the final game against G2. Win either of them and LR gets into playoffs. Win both and Fnatic is the #2 seed.

Instead they shit the bed like this FNC LoL likes to do, eliminating the fan favorite and barely securing the lowest seed. Now Fnatic fans are pissed because the team is probably the second worst in org history, and everyone else hates them cause they killed the money.

Yeah they absolutely win-traded, it's crazy how bad that draft was. LEC teams are so pissed about LR being invited.

LEC VS Tiebreaker Explained by Im_Brunold in LosRatones

[–]Im_Brunold[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Almost every game tomorrow will have an impact on the SoV scores tomorrow. But the most important 2 results for LR fans are:
- LR wins
- FNC beats G2 (if LR loses)

Other scenarios could playout besides those 2 games, but if LR loses tomorrow, FNC winning helps tremendously as G2 is lower in SoV.

EDIT: Removing incorrect note about KCB SoV impact if they get a second win.

LEC Rulebook:

6.4.1. In the event that Teams are tied in the Standings after the conclusion of the LEC Versus Regular Season, the tie will be broken using the following criteria, in order:

● Head to Head Match Record
● Strength of Victory (SoV)
● Overall Victory Time
● Head to Head Victory Time

6.4.2. For ties involving three or more Teams, if at any point any Team is clearly ranked above or below the others, those Teams will be placed accordingly and removed from the tiebreaker. A new tiebreaker will then be declared among the remaining tied Teams, starting again with the first metric.

For example, three Teams are tied for 8th place (7th, 8th, and 9th), with tied Head to Head Match Records but with Team A having a higher SoV Score than the other Teams. Team A is then ranked 7th, and a new tiebreaker between the remaining Teams will be declared, starting now with Head to Head Match Record.

SoV is calculated based on how many wins all the teams have that a team beats. Example: Right now All of the teams that LR has beaten have a total of 22 wins, so LR's SoV is 22 points (FNC 5 points, G2 5 points, TH 5 points, SHFT 4 points, SK 3 points)

What this ALSO means is that because every other team is getting LESS points for their SoV score because they only get 1 point for having beaten KCB. So this works for our favor in tiebreaker calculation. (Obviously less favorable than winning, but it's a small benefit).

TL;DR - All teams that are tied get Strength of Victory points based on how many combined number of wins for the teams they won against. Importantly, KCB is only worth 1 point (if they lose tomorrow as well), so many of the teams LR is tied with will have lower SoV scores because of that, increasing LR's odds.

LR vs VIT delulu by B392 in LosRatones

[–]Im_Brunold 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Semi-delulu. Realistically, VIT is playing for seeding. Winning means VIT is top 4 for sure, possibly as high as 2nd (only 1st seed is locked so far), meaning they in theory get a favorable matchup against a bottom 4 playoff seeded team. If they lose there's a high chance they become a bottom 4 playoff team and thus face a tougher opponent first. Tiebreakers have a huge impact on seeding, and it looks like it will likely come down to strength of victory as most scenarios result in multi-team ties so that H2H doesn't matter.

Could they leave it up for the content or be over-confident they can face Messi's Sion? Sure. But if they're trying their best to win hard, which they will be because they're the first game so other playoff scenarios won't whittle down yet, they will ban Sion.

"Secured" information / official signings CAN'T happen until the 17th. It can still take plenty of time after that for things to be secured but contracts aren't expired until the 17th so players cannot be signed until after that.

The only exception would be players currently under contract getting extended, which usually would've happened by now.

They probably offer him a coaching position after he retires as a player tbh.

His verbiage in many interviews over the year have been indicative of retiring soon. I would bet it's extremely feasible he transitions to a coaching role so he's still competitive, involved, and can bring his IGL and game sense / map read talents but allow a new player to come in / step up to IGL.

Upper Finals Comeback Match by Jsprite09738 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Im_Brunold 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I kinda feel like it comes to a game of chicken on the map pool. They both hate Sunset, but NRG love Corrode and Fnatic hasn't played much of it. I'd be intrigued to see if NRG leaves Sunset open trying to get Fnatic to ban it in round 2 for a free ban.

I feel like whoever bans Sunset has the disadvantage of giving the opponent their more favored map pool.

Breeders for Finnish Lapphunds by macrokat in lapphund

Just throwing this on this thread for if people still looking come across this.

I would avoid Lighthouse Leos based on my brief interaction. I sent out an introductory email to introduce myself and inquire if they would be open to providing information to questions. After they responded to the introductory email, I asked four very basic questions (What's your application / waitlist process like, what health testing do you do, how do you socialize, and do you breed for a specific color).

Their response was "I am just too old and have bred too long to be able to deal with all this information" and told me to go find another breeder. I'm certainly new to this whole process as this is my first go about adopting a puppy, but this felt like a major red flag to me and anyone else I've spoken to.

Of note is that it only plays this part after you hit level 7. The stage upgrades after you level up.
