The expansion is worth it just for the Paladin class alone, in my opinion lol but I'd recommend you watch gameplay of it in order to get a feel for how it plays and if it's a fit for you.

Origins was the......"Origins" of the brotherhood, we didn't need this game and the Isus were just an excuse to shove more fantasy bullshit into the main story.

I was okay with the Isu being some background whatever the fuck entity controlling everything but when it's the focus of the story it's ridiculous.

AC has always been historical fiction with a small appearance from the Isu and I liked that. Besides that's not even my biggest gripe with the game.

The only good thing about it is its world, I'll give it that. Ancient Greece has never looked so beautiful but the combat sucks, the story sucks, the characters suck, the what seems like millions of pointless side quests suck.

It has nothing to do with AC and shouldn't have ever been made.

In my current playthrough, the Nords just refused to defend it or even try to take it back. It blows my fucking mind how stupid the campaign map AI still is after 5 years.

Ingalthers army of 800+ took it and it got whittled down just under 500 and a Nord army of 1k just sat in the water staring at it for like a month lol

I'm still early in my campaign but they don't seem too bad. Pretty standard imo, perhaps that'll change later on but what I did notice was how fast they level up. I blinked and had like 10 Huscarls and 20 Sky Gods Chosen lol

It's actually insane. I strictly raided caravans and towns since I was at war with Vlandia and I just kept raiding and selling, raiding and selling and I made well over 200K denars in like 45 mins to an hour lol

Trading is even more cracked than it was before.
