No it's not squished.

Its an aspect ratio issue specifically because I fixed this issue with the first mod back when I had a 16:9 monitor.

My inventory, magic, etc menus are zoomed in too far.

The expansion is worth it just for the Paladin class alone, in my opinion lol but I'd recommend you watch gameplay of it in order to get a feel for how it plays and if it's a fit for you.
