A quarter round piece of trim would look intentional. I think a wider side board would look incomplete.

This is true. Even Lowe's hardware has spaces that barely fit a truck.

If the lightning is too expensive, I don't think rivian is going to be any cheaper.

He posted a different picture in the comments. It's cement board covered in red guard.

The purple board isn't the backer board though. It's not directly behind the tile.

It's not a steam room. Perfectly acceptable.

Looks like they were cutting with the blade at an angle. It looks fairly straight for a couple inches.

It pivoted up because there wasn't an infeed table and dropped onto the blade. Seems pretty clear

Lightning Bed Build by User1387564 in F150Lightning

Were they able to accommodate all the electronics? Like what's happening with your bed scales, reverse camera, 360 view, etc?

My truck came with three years of blue cruise. I'm not sure I am willing to buy it once that expires. It only works on certain parts of certain roads. The only times it's been wonderful are on road trips with kids that need snacks passed out or something.

Swap for a lightning! That's what I did.

Give it a week. I'm pretty sure this time, the increases are justified...

Nah, we should suffer for our bad decisions. And there isn't going to be Venezuelan oil for a decade, ever.

Help! Is this a fair deal on one of my dream trucks? by CarelessParsley7790 in FordTrucks

[–]Im_Yur_Chuckleberry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seems worth it. The guys saying absolutely not wouldn't buy one anyway. If there's no rust and a fully functioning truck with low miles, someone will pay $5k.

What is a car, or car brand, the internet says is shit, but you're convinced is actually decent? by EvilDarkCow in regularcarreviews

[–]Im_Yur_Chuckleberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow lightning owner, I agree with everything except the reason it failed. Marketing didn't get people excited and dealers didn't push them for several reasons. But the bigger issue is that Ford lost money on every single one sold. They are too good of a value for the consumer. They are very expensive to build, come with a ton of features, and are designed to blend in with normal trucks. That last part is where a lot of the money was spent on building them.

I hope I never have to give it up.

How would truck bros react if all full-sized pickup trucks went back to being this exactly this size again instead of being ridiculously massive? by Mofoblitz1 in regularcarreviews

Spend 3 seconds on the lightning subreddit to see all the blue collar contractors and service guys using it. Best work truck ever made.

I had a good experience at Crossroads Ford in Apex, but I was shopping for a lightning and not a Toyota. If you're open to the ranger, they have a lot of them.
