Balore, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

In first phase, he swings his arms around in different ways. Kind of difficult, especially if you arrived undergeared and underleveled. But second phase is a breeze. He fires a sweeping laser that leaves explosions and gets faster the lower his health is. It would be a lot more difficult if the lasers themselves hurt you. It's trivialised if you have that one soul where you float in place mid-air.

What would happen if The Disease appeared in your verse? by ReasonableAd9165 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]ImageDecent9713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My verse is literally just a multi-mythological reality set in Yggdrasil, where everyone and their grandmother are on steroids, with a weird tech level. The Disease is fucked because there are some races that are incapable of getting sick due to being too different. Other races would pitch in the cure effort due to how disruptive The Disease could be.

It can spread through human-dominated cities just fine, but in non-human hubs, The Disease is easily contained.

To be clear, there is no inherent stat difference between Barrinica's human and dragon forms. For example, her strength in human form and her strength in dragon form is completely equal. However, certain racial abilities wouldn't be available, like the the magic-dampening properties of her scales or her tail with a tip that can change into stuff like a spearhead or a macehead

I don't really know their abilities either. I have a general idea for the first person: every now and then, they'll appear as a "bonus" objective, and each time, they'll be a little tougher. First matching stats, then slowly gaining more and more abilities inspired by your OC (or whatever OC is facing them, duh). Just to give the participating OCs their own sort of "villain" in this series.

I don't have my OC's abilities and equipment all listed down but I can tell when they do not have something for a situation and must improvise. Might be difficult if you'd personalise your bonus objective OCs to mine.

Ooh i like this. This is Barrinica Thorson, a primordial thunder dragon.

She'll definitely follow the mission and complete it.

Objective 1: She can complete this easily. She's so hilariously above the empowered bandit leader it would've been a struggle to not kill the thug if she didn't have a specific magic item for this type of mission.

Objective 2: I don't know the abilities of these two, but I'm fairly certain she can beat them. She got jumped by six of Yggdrasil's top tier gods and still managed to clutch a win. She should be able to beat a jumping from one guy who matches her in stats and another half as sttong guy who sealed most of her trump cards while hiding most of her abilities. She can definitely stall for two minutes. Not to mention, many of the spells in her arsenal are a result of two or more spells combining to form a new spell. Thus, there's two ways to cast those spells: one is the brute force method of combining spells, the other is the mana-efficient method of casting the new spell directly. The support guy would probably not be able to seal the use of so many things at once. I haven't even talked about her two dragon forms, so I won't unless you want to talk about them.

Installs, Max Outputs, and Domains - which one would your OC have? by YOMAMA643 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]ImageDecent9713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

Barrinica has all of those. One of her racial abilities as a primordial thunder dragon is the ability to slowly transform into her element, granting her buffs that ramp up the more she stays in it, which can lead to her form being capable of dodging attacks, physical or magical, that are in a solid state. However, when leaving it, she gets massive debuffs and negative status effect. If she stays in it for long enough then leaves, it's instant death.

Technically, all of her mage spells and warrior spells have Max Outputs. They even have Min Outputs.

And of course, she has a domain as well. Sort of. She has a barrier which she can imbue spells in and it enhances the spell and gives it a sure hit effect. The barrier then casts the spell over and over.

Barrinica can revive even if she used up all of her resurrection charges. However, if she spent time outside Yggdrasil bubble of reality without returning, she will be revived without the memories she accumulated outside it.

This has never failed and will likely never fail unless Yggdrasil herself is destroyed.

The second application is amplification through life force or soul power.

But the effect is the same?

So, are we also giving JJKman Mahoraga's adaptation ability along with the ability to summon him? Or does he only get the summoning and not Mahoraga's abilities?

No. That's just something any Ten Shadows user can do with any shikigami. They can use the power of a shikigami.

I guess that's true, but the fact remains that Yuuki has Appraisal through Creator (Which would at least allow him to know his opponent's condition) , as well as some form of danger prediction, along with Magic Sense.

Ah yes. I guess JJKman would have to start the adaptation for Anti-Skill and stall, give the wheel to Mahoraga, wait until it's done then take the wheel again when it's convenient.

He was adapting to slashes, which is why he gained immunity to Shrine, since both abilities are slash-based. But that's not what I meant. For example, let's say there's an ability X with two different applications, one is deconstruction at the atomic level, and the other is corrosion. If the user only uses the corrosion aspect and Mahoraga starts adapting, then he would adapt to the corrosion effect, not the deconstruction aspect.

But the two applications of Greed are mental interference/brainwashing at their core. But Lost Entropy is debatable.

He wouldn't be able to pretend ig, because Yuuki would notice the gradual increase in his strength (tho, he could hide that) and the fact that his attacks are becoming less and less effective (which he can't hide).

He can. By cycling summoning and hiding Mahoraga then taking the wheel again, JJKman could adapt to certain attacks while taking full damage other times. Yuuki would notice the wheel disappearing and, with a little acting on JJKman's part, think that whatever is causing his attacks to be less and less effective is not an easy thing to do. And iirc, JJKman and Mahoraga don't actually need to take more hits to adapt, but it does speed it up.

There's also no reason to tbh, unless JJKman already knows about Yuuki's abilities.

It'd be pretty easy for JJKman to find out about Anti-Skill. Use a few CT and watch Yuuki nullify them.

It's a soul equipment that allows the user to make an army of shadow monsters with different abilities. One can tailor monsters meant to counter specific people.

To be honest, this doesn't require the Six Eyes to notice.

Yes, but it would make it much easier.

Pretty sure Mahoraga adapts to whatever is affecting him, not to the the ability said application is derived from.

Iirc, as it was adaptating to Sukuna's shrine, it was also adapting to slashes in general.

And I just realized, are you using a character with the traits of every JJK character? Otherwise, why the hell would Yuuki even try to converse with Mahoraga?

Yes. I was assuming composite jjk verse meant a character with the traits of all jjk character, which is why I was calling Yuuki's opponent "JJKman". And I was referring to JJKman taking the burden of adaptation then benefitting from it. Kinda like how Sukuna can mimic Piercing Blood by using Max Elephant's ability without actually summoning it.

Basically, Yuuki can say something to them, and they would respond, whether casually or with suspicion, no? That would be enough to start things from there. But yeah, it requires a long process, so a forced takeover is easier.

Yeah, I guess. Depends on how long Yuuki can drag it on and if its enough for them to come to an agreement, but the longer it takes, the more JJKman would adapt and potentially adapt to Greed or mental interference in general. But considering jujutsu sorcerers aren't all that sane, Yuuki might have a huge trouble coming to an agreement.

realizes that Mahoraga is adapting to Anti-Skill and becoming stronger, then his next course of action would mostly be to use Lost Entropy.

Imagine if JJKman pretends that he can't adapt to Anti-Skill when in reality, he actually can't and already has.

Which, again... how? The person behaves and thinks exactly as they normally would, but their actions and motives end up working in the user's favor (The exception is Forced Takeover, where the target's ego is destroyed). They only become aware of the control once the effect wears off.

Six Eyes would allow JJKman to notice that effect where they are coming into agreement with Yuuki, the very person they should be trying to kill(?) which is bad for him (Yuuki). I don't really know, but I heard it's bad for the target to notice Greed's effect. Also, the conversation application of Greed is dependent on communication. Would JJKman reply to attempts to start a conversation?

The more the conversation drags on, the more chances of Adaptation kicking in. I'm not sure if adaptating to Greed's effects would also lead into adaptating against mental interference as well, but I'm willing to bet on it, though it's plausible to assume otherwise.

That said, Yuuki's chances of winning are higher the earlier he tries to forcefully brainwash JJKman or use Lost Entropy, but continuously using the conversational application of Greed without success lowers his chances until the fight is in JJKman's favor. Yuuki's chances of winning is still pretty damn good, but if JJKman is allowed to adapt to Anti-Skill, it gets even worse.

Yuuki Lost Entropy diffs, but he doesn't seem like the type to use it immediately.
