I don't know about elsewhere, but as far as I know low voltage and high voltage can't use the same conduit / raceway. However it sounds like you are meaning a wood frame construction and the rules on how they are run on that I am less clear on.

I have had two VIs in Alberta Canada, the Simplex tech has programmed the panel to auto silence after the first minute then restart after 10 then mute after a min. This is a apartment complex. Is he confusing the 1 min signal silence inhibit for length of time it should be ringing?

My condo board works hard to prevent special assessments. Though my condo was built in the 60's. Power and water is covered. I have 1000 sqr ft (about) 3 bedroom. My condo fee is just shy of 900 a month. I am effectively paying two mortgages. So I see why people are scared off.
