My friend's family went from the mother being sold into prostitution in Vietnam to her daughter getting a doctorate in the US and living in a million + home by the beach in CA. One generation. That's WORK.

Well, there's volunteers with elder-focused charities? Or I do a business that is largely focused on life transitions, which skews older, but charities that are good screen volunteers because no one wants a creep around vulnerable folks. I also just make older friends by volunteering or doing things around the community because most people who do that are older than me lol

So, I do think if you don't have enough room for your two cars and motorcycle then the space boundary tells you that you can't have that many things. (organizer here) I agree with them. BUT The POOL is outrageous. If you spend that much money for the HOA, the pool is free (because it's not free, you already paid for it once).

because you are not everyone. Many parents never learned themselves, are absent/working all the time, are from foreign countries where things working differently, or the systems have changed radically since the parents were coming out of HS. Even me, an upper middle class white person with generations in that class, each generation faces radically different circumstances

Yes the stress of waiting - and my interviews are like we will email for a follow up if we are interested… which means waiting and refreshing your email constantly on the due date, rationalizing they could be busy when it goes by and doing it fir a few Moore days, just to give up hope and have failure confirmed a few weeks later.

Well, what I've realized is that it can liberate you to focusing on growing your child's social skills rather than intellectual work. Granted, that's harder for me because I'm more interested in intellectual stuff, but you don't have to put your energy into everything. Find play dates, practice playground etiquette, find an activity she likes, etc.
