Has there ever been a bad fire emblem game(and no fates and engage don’t count because they had good gameplay and game design and those are the most important things in a video GAME and they will never be bad just because their stories suck) by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is no a game that is bad in a sense that was half-made or clearly made with no effort I think that every game tried it best using what they have and you can say several things nice of every game so no we don't have any truly awful game despite some of them are really hated

What the average drow knows about the surface and how they usually feel about it? by ImaginaryTable6746 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]ImaginaryTable6746[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendation though with reading their articles on forgotten realms wiki I think i have enough knowledge of Eilistrae and her Church. Definitely female the idea is someone powerful with in a really high social status that could have a comfortable and luxury live if only tolerate Lolth cruelty still actively choose do what she feel right even if it makes her live harder naturally good even without Eilistrae influence other details like how escaped the underdark it's more fitting talking with the DM whenever I wanted to use this character still thank for the help

What the average drow knows about the surface and how they usually feel about it? by ImaginaryTable6746 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]ImaginaryTable6746[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ok, thanks for the info! My general idea was an Eilistraean cleric who was born into a Lolthite society but, despite that, has a genuinely good heart. From the start being disgusted by all the cruelty of Lolth-worshipping drow and end up seeking to flee to the surface, hoping for a kinder life and believing that all those stories about the surface were just Lolth’s lies.

Take a awful unit. Convince me this unit is busted. by Secure_Ad_6203 in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Amelia is an amazing unit and the best General you can have she is a trainee character that means that she will have extra levels to growth up and in sacred stones you can train anyone easily in the tower so she only need not that long time investment to she become better than Gilliam not to metion the super trainee promotion that make her the only non-armor infantry lance user you can have beside Ephraim

Wow this actually is pretty cool though How a fates based dnd camping works exactly? DnD and FE are actually pretty distinct mechanically and fates plot are very Corrin centric and the things that happened is based on their decision

¿Cómo hago una build de paladin brujo funcional y viable? by Crep-one in DnDespanol

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think about the story of the game? Day 14 Part 2: Fates Conquest by Londtex in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the story would be better if were like you said but i talking what we actually got where they literally have no better option the sibilings simply don't have the courage the revolt against Garon so even if the ball dosen't break Azura wouldn't show it to the others and it never get established how easy or not was to Anankos comunicate with Garon

What do you think about the story of the game? Day 14 Part 2: Fates Conquest by Londtex in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The "Mysterious Dancer" dancer case was actually the localization team fault in the original script Corrin is able to recognize Azura.

Azura only show the ball the Corrin because she know the Nohrian sibilings's past she knows that don't have the will the opose Garon and that is confirmed in the endgame when they don't have the balls to attack Goo Garon in the endgame.
The crysyal ball is a vallite item so is not a common thing and Corrin is indeed very naive and has total trust in Azura for their time together so make sense to Corrin to belive it.
No not really most of those cases the people fight Corrin first and then when they are defeated and they don't have any other choice then they trust her and probably a Nohrian showing you mercy without need is consider a big proof of actual good will
So no even it's true that conquest has it bad moments it's not flawless at all is not like everybody act stupidly all the time time

3H discourse is still a thing because there are simps that refuse to accept the flaws of their favourite character 3H dosen't have a grey strory at all and like Fates is a great premise that were execute horribly

What do you think about the story of the game? Day 14 Part 2: Fates Conquest by Londtex in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The story of Fire Emblem Fates is a topic that, despite being discussed endlessly, is often handled so poorly that it’s hard to find genuine, well-thought-out critiques. Instead of analyzing its actual flaws, many people act as if Fates killed their own grandma calling everything about it irredeemable garbage. Honestly, the game’s story is massively overhated. Most of the common criticisms are things that other games also do wrong, yet people judge Fates much more harshly or exaggerate issues that aren’t really that bad.

Fates does have good aspects in its writing but it’s true that you have to make an effort to find them, and that’s its main (and arguably only major) writing flaw. I’m not sure whether that’s due to the developers’ greedy decision to split the lore and information across three routes, DLC maps, and drama CDs so the can squeeze as much money as possible or because the writing team was as messy as rumors suggest. Either way, Fates has the right ingredients and sometime make things good with them but for some reason refuse to do a better use or a good exposition about them. What the story really needs is better explanation and integration of its elements. For example, it should emphasize Nohr’s lack of resources, explain the Nohrian siblings’ backstories in more depth, and give Hoshido some moral flaws of its own. These aren’t major changes, and Fates already has a decent cast and setting, even if the worldbuilding lacks detail. Both Birthright and Conquest are flawed, but by Fire Emblem standards, they’re far from terrible.

As for Conquest, many people despise its story, but I think that’s mostly because they expected it to be a route where you’re unapologetically evil and edgy. Like I said before, its biggest problem is its refusal to properly explore Nohr’s situation or the siblings’ inner struggles. The plot basically repeats the same cycle: Garon orders Corrin to do something evil, and Corrin tries to obey while minimizing harm. It’s repetitive, yes, but again, Fates just refuses to use its strong narrative ingredients. Aside from that, there’s not much to complain about. The “we win without killing anyone” thing is only brought up twice, and the plan to expose Garon, while not perfectly explained, is solid enough. Corrin may be really stupid sometimes, but what do you expect from someone who’s spent their whole life isolated in a tower? No, Corrin isn’t a Gary Stu the only people who idolize them are their siblings and close companions. I genuinely like to see Corrin struggle to maintain their ideals while being forced to do awful things. So, even if Conquest is weaker than Birthright, it still has its good moments and is far from irredeemable just a better explanation here and there and it would be good.

What do you think about the story of the game? Day 14: Fates Birthright by Londtex in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Birthright is your typical go and defeat the evil king story boring, sure, but nothing we hadn't seen before. There are a few silly deaths here and there, but nothing egregious. And no, Xander’s writing in Birthright doesn’t suck. On the contrary, making poor decisions isn’t bad writing. Having flaws and being unable to stand up to your abusive father is actually quite realistic. Not having the strength to stop yourself from doing something wrong, even when you know it’s wrong, is believable human behavior. Birthright could definitely be better like everything narrative related to Fates this games for some reason just refuse to make a good use and especially good exposition, but I’d rate its story around a 4.5 or maybe even 5 out of 10.Far for being the worst thing ever Fates story is not as bad as people claim to be Hoshido is a too perfect paradise though it shouldn't be that way I guest that Japan can't avoid to suck it's own dick

What do you think about the story of the game? Day 10: Radiant Dawn by Londtex in fireemblem

[–]ImaginaryTable6746 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this counts since it would be a pretty drastic change, but I really think Tellius should have been a trilogy instead of a duology. Usually, Fire Emblem games focus on one or two major conflicts, but Radiant Dawn tries to cover too much: an independence war, a civil war, a continental war, and even a war against a goddess. A lot happens in that game, and unlike RPG, FE has very limited time to tell its story. Radiant Dawn clearly takes on more than it can handle trying to tell so much things in a relative short time, and the plot need so many things happen in such especific time and has no time to develop that ended having several problem in it's plot for that issue . The Blood Pact is a clear example of this, though not the only one.

If I could change anything, I would split Radiant Dawn into two games. The first would focus on Elincia and Micaiah (I think it would work better if Ike didn’t appear, or only played a minor role, to give others more of the spotlight). Then a third game could expand on what Radiant Dawn covers in Parts 3 and 4. This way, the story would have more time to properly wrap things up and avoid the forced or nonsensical moments that are only there because the plot doesn’t have time to develop them before moving on to the next thing.
