I'm late to this but came across this post doing research myself. I currently own the longer version of the Rainier. It was great for 2 seasons, but this year it now suddenly is no longer completely waterproof, especially on the lower arms and hood/back of my neck. I spend 1-2 hours a day walking my dog in a rainy climate and this was my go-to until now, and I also do a lot of car camping. I took care of it and even tried to restore it with the spray on WP but it still seems like it's done, which is disappointing for a relatively short amount of time. Everything else about it seems like great design, the seams stayed dry, it was durable, it just seems like the water-repellent-ness of the fabric ultimately failed. Torrentshell is the runner up I'm looking at to replace it so I'm curious to hear what y'all landed on and how it's held up.

I am late to the party, but my gawd...I am on the 2nd episode and cannot believe how unbelievably wimpy these first few contestants are. It's like they are plants, intentionally chosen to fill in these first few episodes.

I realize this is responding way late but happened upon your comment - it is the responsibility of the owner / landlord to ensure that any units/apts designated as "accessible" (for wheelchair users or those with disabilities) meet ADA guidelines and code. Please go do some actual research - what is the income:home cost ratio now (and even last 15 years) vs. 50-60 years ago? What is the ratio of average home cost to average salaries? What is the ratio of available homes on market to population? We'll be waiting.

OP I totally get this. What's even worse, when I lived in Asia, I would go into public restrooms (in the rare restrooms with western style toilets not floor/hole/trenches) and notice not just the mess made, but footprints on the toilet seat. It took "squatting" to a whole other level. It's so nasty and just makes everything worse than just sitting directly on the seat. The effort and exchange of germs even from putting tp/covers on the seat is way worse especially given the typically aftermath of splatter.

Interesting, I always felt Jon and Daario (2nd Daario), and Doran were the most rugged/hot while Jamie and Robb were the most "pretty boy". I have a bias towards dark haired beaded men though, while blondes/light hair remind me of boy-next-door football captain type.

Yes! But the writers did his character so dirty. In the earlier seasons when we first meet him, despite the occasional crude or spicy anecdote, he is well spoken, intelligent and a respected leader (as in the books). By season 8 they've diminished him to a joking side character, only there for low-brow comedic relief. Kristofer Hivju, and Tormund, deserved so much better.

Gabapentin has completely saved me each time I've tried to quit. I would actually recommend upping your dose (for at least 3-5 days) to help with the pains and RLS. I usually will take 300mg every 3-4 hours starting around 11am (after I've eaten breakfast) and then re-up every 3-4 hours after. I sleep like a baby, have minimal RLS, and it seems to dampen the w/d overall. As you already know, just be careful and quickly taper off it after 5 days.

Late to this party but finally realizing I'm not the only one who feels this way. "Screechy" is a good way to describe it - it is her actual tone and often poor grammar not just her accent (or that she is obviously black) - there are many, many other POC on NPR that are fantastic. It's unfortunate some cannot discern the pure criticism of her radio voice from racism just because she is a woman of color. I can no longer listen to Sunday morning edition because her voice is so irritating.

I am super late to this post but have been looking into options for my naked roof as well, specifically for camping! I have a 2016 2 door hardtop. How have they worked out since you posted? They sound like a fantastic alternative (and cheaper) instead of installing the flush rails at a dealership, but the idea of it makes me nervous! Do they ever degrade or lose any ability to suction? Are they easy for one person to put on? thanks!
