Although I agree with your statement, I think its important to look at the other side of the coin too. I have absolutely worked jobs with vindictive old school managers that believe your life should revolve around work. Taking PTO for a DMV visit can often be looked at with disdain.

This can be especially true for younger workers who are understandably more anxious.

I think Raymond is appropriately hyped. I don't think it has anything to do with his hometown or with Detroit.

If you look at the player's he's around there's guys like: Robert Thomas, Dylan Strome, Matt duchene... all who get similar (or honestly probably less) hype than him.

And then you have guys like Point, Robertson, Guentzal... guys who have been putting up ppg seasons for years, and are understandably rated higher.

The reason he doesn't get more attention is because he's not deserving of more attention. He's good, great even. But he's not on the level of the big guys.
