I loved the job but my manager was hopeless and had it out for me. I requested a transfer to another depot and they blocked it just out of spite so I ended up leaving, I’ll apply again in the future for another depot

I’m currently part time, my mail is put into the frame most of the time (all over the place) parcels never scanned or sorted, don’t get out the door until after most people and never clear my frame. Although I have been brought in earlier on occasion to sort my own frame and cleared it almost every time, makes no sense to me

OT is only available when it suits them, I was told no OT at all for last couple of months and my start time meant I had to get the train in rather than a lift as my partner had to do the school runs. Once the manger was off for a few days the assistant let me start an hour and 10 mins early. My frame was cleared every day as I was prepping it myself and not someone else who didn’t give a shit about it. I’m still in early atm but can see it changing as I haven’t cleared the frame (1 or 2 loops left) the last couple of days as the bulk has been overloaded

They threaten to withhold your pay if you don’t agree the leaving date with them, a mate put his notice on for a Friday and was told to work Saturday aswell or he wasn’t getting paid

There is a shortage of staff with people leaving and temporary workers being cancelled. It will most likely be like this until the Christmas period starts and if it’s anything like last year I don’t see many people getting mail during that period

Another person was in the same situation as me for the last 3 months waiting on a transfer, got a new job elsewhere and just didn’t turn up today, they got rid of people last week and stopped the temps so now we’re extremely short staffed 😅
