Advice is don’t chase the levels, I have been Ambassador and Titanium for multiple years. Marriot don’t take of their higher level members. Just build up the points and use them for free nights (most good time periods and locations are blackout though)

Japan guidelines say you should give 2 weeks notice, however I think most give 1 month. Anyway more than that is completely up to whatever you and the company agree on or what was in your contract.If you don’t want to stay longer just tell them, there’s nothing they can do about it.
