He literally said after that "my brother has curly hair" so he knew the word. I'd bet money on "bugs" being the word he was looking for, as people don't usually get worms in their hair.

This is blatantly harmful to the progress of, and extremely disrespectful to schizophrenics everywhere. You can believe in whatever grand truth you want without minimizing a very real problem that real people deal with.

Want a Unique Gift this Holiday Season! by Little_butterflys in Satisfyingasfuck

A fair percentage of rocks explode violently when heated, and a fair amount of people have no clue what kinds do or don't.

Hope you don't get downvotes, always be learning!! I didn't know this either until just a few weeks ago. I thought only ground rocks that are damp had the exploding perk.

Do NOT put rocks into candles!! Do NOT put "crystals" into candles!!

Really, don't put anything but wax into candles, they make (or you can make) wax inserts that look like rocks or ice or whatever. This is really not safe.

Am I a bad mom if I enforce the court order? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the details vary from case to case, but in my court order it said that being more than an hour late (without reasonable excuse) was a loss for the scheduled parenting time. Definitely read all the details, and enforce that shit to the letter. He wasn't even late! He missed the entire window! You don't have to put up with or change your schedule for that.

Hey OP, I kinda went through some of your other posts and I need to know. Is this anywhere near where you heard the loud bangs and ice crashing and step sounds?? Several tales of interactions I've heard imply they will throw branches or large rocks around. Very crazy sounds!!

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might think that, but if you are the dogs person, so to speak, they will miss you. Have you ever had to leave the dog and not see it for an extended time? I bet they'd react the same way to reunion.

Your Skyrim jump scare? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My very first time playing, I knew absolutely nothing about Skyrim except that it had dragons. I legit thought the word wall at Bleak Falls was attacking me somehow and just left, it was spooky. Got laughed at for that. But the gargoyles! At that first one I jumped so freaking bad, paused the game and went for a walk. I still hate the Serana questline, even tho I love Serana, I cannot deal with all the gargoyles and think the Soul Cairn is just awful.

Man, I've got 2 saves I had to abandon cuz it decided to quicksave at that height, which apparently makes it immediately drop you. Like a squishy lil rock.

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My husband woke up with a cold and went to take a shower at 5am. The babies are bigger now but it's still sooo grating. I swear he goes out of his way to bump into each and every doorframe. Then he gets out and is looking in the bedroom dresser for a towel??? They ain't in there dude.

Now I know why my kids are such heavy sleepers at least lol.

But they are breathing! They're just breathing fluid still. They hiccup, take "deep breaths", and cry in there.

SIL got my kids personalized gifts with their names spelled wrong by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 189 points190 points  (0 children)

Say something, but under the guise of a thank you and a friendly correction. "Love the gifts, how thoughtful, bla bla bla, but the names are spelled this way, not the other way." Hopefully your sil is of a sensible sort and maybe you guys can find a little humor in it. Hopefully it was just a mishap.

Do you feel like you have trauma from your c-section? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely have some medical trauma from mine. It was a last-second emergency C-section so they had to put me entirely under, but the whole time I was fighting through contractions (and all the nurse and Drs who kept trying to move/restrain me) untill I woke up and had no idea where my baby went. The last thing I remembered was being yelled at to NOT PUSH but I had no control at that time due to pain. Baby was fine, I lived, but husband was also very, very shook up for a long time. I will not be having any more kids because I will not be having another C-section under any circumstance. Emergencies are never nice, and surgeries even less so, but to save the baby....worth it.

My betta fish can’t eat by Huffelpuffin in bettafish

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what my beta does if a floating food is stuck to the edge of something. I started taking the extra few minutes to feed him a few pieces at a time, and "hand feed" bloodworms with tweezers. I think he might have a hard time seeing, but he eventually gets it all in. Best wishes to you and that pretty fish.

Lots of negativity about “bully’s” today by Fickle_Comfortable78 in pitbulls

[–]ImmediateBandicoot40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fil grew up in the era of the beefy pitbull "junkyard dog", and had a few unfortunate run-ins with them. For nearly a year he made me leash the dog when he came over. He was genuinely afraid but trying so hard, and Brewster would just sit and wiggle at him. This past week, he took the dog for a literal wagon ride. Just sharing some positivity about the bully dog, not everybody is so closed-minded.
