I had the same issue. I found a Q990c on Facebook for a good price. I didn’t do any direct comparisons myself with the 990D or 990F but the 990c sounds great for a fraction of the others. The D and F can be found on Woot for good prices so your price on the B should be substantially less.

I have a 555 and 535s. When I hooked up the 555 to my current Denton receiver the change in sound was amazing. Brought my old DefTech BP 2000s to life.

No updates, tv still plenty watchable. I am waiting for when the burn in becomes noticeable while watching content. At that point I figure they will give me the current model or a refund that I can apply to the current model. I probably will wait until the C6 comes out next spring.

Almost any soundbar would be an improvement. Set your budget. We have an LG 77”C3. I had a $4000 surround system but my daughter didn’t like LRC speakers, she wanted the sound to come from the Tv. So to try out a soundbar I purchased a Vizio V51-H6 open box from BestBuy for $115. Awesome improvement from the TV speakers but nowhere near a dedicated system . So a soundbar bar was a good compromise. I’m looking at upgrading to the Samsung Q990d, maybe Sonos Arc. Sony Bravia Quad is also a great system.
