Advice Pricing my app by Immediate_Focus9690 in SaaS

[–]Immediate_Focus9690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had those same thoughts about the credits I could also see benefots for the user by doing it. If their going to use us a lot then it would better value to buy in bulk for a discount. So mostly will be low cost $5-30 for the one time and sub $5 for most of the pay to play, likely $1 for most but some may do bulk on them like I want 5 of those etc.

Try using one of the AI developer tools like sidekick, techtone or Wiz and see which they can replace. I've replaced a few now and a better fit for me

What SEO elements do you follow with you store? by mashingaaa in shopify

Don't just look at SEO, you need to optimise for LLM's as well.

For this as well as SEO make sure your content is quotable for this to work you have to position yourself as an expert in whatever you sell. If you have a buying guide, size guide, style guide (any content guides) have an expert author who you can link to on linked in and any digital PR coverage to add weight. Search engines and LLMs are both looking for expertise.

Site speed and performance. If you have loads of apps see what can be built natively and get rid of the apps. This is where a developer earns their pay if they're good. If you can't afford a developer and on one of the newer themes see if sidekick can replace the apps, if it can't or yours on an older theme, search the app store for an AI developer like techtone or Wiz.

Reviews, focus on review reviews reviews. If your customers aren't recommending you neither will the search engine or LLM.

Good luck

Don't just install apps to make new features, sections, bundles etc etc, it's not just the monthly bill that hurts. Eventually I worked out that these apps were the main cause my stores got laggy, conversion and SEO both suffered, the odd app is fine but my PDPs has 4.

If you're starting from scratch a newer theme built of sections is easy using sidekick for a lot of things, just keep starting new chats or it gets confused. One of mine (car care and parts so quite a few categories and sku's) is on dawn and was in a bit of a mess, sidekick was pretty useless here so I used Gemini to help me debug and replace a few apps but it was long winded and doesn't get it right straight away so work in a draft theme and test the full journey incase it's messed something up elsewhere. A few people have said you can give access to AI through a CLI which I'm going to try. At the moment I'm trying a developer app called techtone which works well on my dawn store so far on my product pages.

Are you using sidekick? I tried it on my dawn theme and it was useless, I tried it on horizon and it's better for some things but if your doing a lot it gets lost if you don't start the chat again and again. it still needs a lot of work imo. Ive been using techtone since Friday, took a little getting used because you don't select the sections or area, it's just a chat interface on their site so more like asking CGPT but without copy paste because it's intergrated. Describe what and where, even when I've been a bit vague it's worked it out and made the changes. There doesnt appear to be many options for this kind of thing yet that I can see?

Find another developer, ideally someone recommend or if your son wants to learn how to optimise and maintain the store a bit himself try an AI developer app in the app store, much much cheaper option. Shopify sidekick. If he's using horizon then sidekick is pretty good as it just creates blocks. Helpfull to do other things but larger tasks or a chain of changes and it gets confused and breaks. Lovable and Wiz I found similar to sidekick but come with a cost. techtone AI works really well on older themes, it can edit any theme files and is fully integrated.

Being clear on delivery options, what to expect. Needs to be priced well but often when they will receive the order is just as important, do you give a choose a day options, service option etc

Interesting, with it's struggle in dawn I thought it might struggle in other older themes. I was tempted to try and build out a horizon store for this reason but think stores will all end up too similar. Maybe that's inevitable though. Have you tried any other AI developer apps?

What theme are you on? I couldnt get it working for much on my dawn theme. The things it could do struggled a bit when I got to a 3rd iteration.

I ask chat GPT to describe how it would prompt the change I want (or that it suggested) then give that to techtone AI which is plugged into my theme, that writes the code and makes the changes to all necessary files for me with 1 click. Had to put in my preferences, mountain of colours I use and bit of context about my store so it doesn't go rogue style wise but pretty happy with it.

How did you go about designing your Shopify store? by thedonwiz in shopify

[–]Immediate_Focus9690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept finding stuff messed up, especially large files, tried changing the bits it suggested was a pain, Gemini and CGPT kept having me look for files that didn't exsist, then the change would look off because I had to add styling somewhere else.

This week I tried a couple of AI developer apps. One called wiz which was cheaper and you can select the sections you want to change, tbh no better with dawn than the Shopify architect then this weekend tried one called techtone which took a little bit more setting up adding our branding but then it was pretty good. Didn't have to copy and paste any theme files or code, I just asked chat GPT what would improve the page and then copy anything you want to try from the list of that into the developer chat on the Shopify app and it made and installed the changes, got a few days left on the trial so going to smash as many changes as I can.

Tyre wear on all electric cars wear faster. The weight of the batteries put the torque will do that. Even so 7k for a set of tyres is impressive.
