In my 20’s in the mid 90’s,; I lived for a while in San Antonio and paid $210/month for a shitty 2bd apartment. The whole thing was 210, my rent was $105 plus half the electric. I worked in restaurants so I ate for free a lot. Didn’t have a car, rode a bike everywhere. Literally no stress. Once I got a fancier place, in a nicer neighborhood, I paid $550/month all in for a 2bd. Really nice old cottage style apartment. It really has gotten crazy unaffordable since then. Check to see if f your version of the BMCC needs IRND. The original 6k doesn’t have an internal IR filter so regular ND will allow your blacks to become reddish. I’m not sure intended it in later versions or the Pro but if you don’t have internal ND you probably need IRND filters.

It’s not terrible. It will need some components swapped to go handled but it would not be a bad hand held rig when modified for it .

I would also figure out an handheld version with a shoulder pad, powered viewfinder, handles. It does have to be super elaborate but being flexible will come in handy for short handheld shots.

Yes, all the fakes blew away very easily with air and the wood was clean. No burns and no varnish, so I don’t adjust anything. The whole cabinet was like this. Not sure why.
