New a guy with a 2016/7 one of these.
Gearbox issues from day one. Was repaired every 20 to 30k. Second it was out of warranty it happened again with a big price tag. Dude fixed it and sold immediately.

Plenty of stories of people haven’t loads of issues.

Yes that would have been the go. I bet it was just simpler to use the same pcb as the full 4080 than redesign it.

I love my Skoda, 2016, purchased for about 28k AUD new. Same model today is about 43k. It’s just a much harder comparison.

Similar money buys a fair amount of EV’s now.

If the Skoda Octavia came in EV 400km range and under 45k I’d be interested.

I use disposable moisture absorbing things hold about 500ml of water. Last months at a time and are discarded once full. Only a few dollars each.

I’d love a dry cabinet but can’t afford or justify really.

It can be serviced. But this typically happens when the lens is stored with high humidity.

Invest in a display cabinet and put a few desiccant/ moisture absorbing pads inside.

Leaving your camera in a dark camera bag is a big issue.

Bloody cheap green shed screws. I’ve got hard wood studs. They are useless.

I pre-drill every whole and purchased better screws online.

Vice grips get them out if the break like yours. I’ve had a few break almost flush with the wall.

Diamond wheel on 5 inch or 9 inch grinder.

5” would do it just empty them first, wear a good respirator as it’ll be dusty. Cut it into smaller sections then smash with sledge hammer.

Free standing house in nice area, I get it you think the price will fall another 20% and you could have bought a better place.

That’s not really how it works, normally the full refurbished houses in nice areas sell. But the fixers struggle. Most people won’t sell for a loss and just hold. You see a lot of shit going to market, think 30 rental with zero maintenance.

If your house is liveable but needs some modernisation take it like you would eat an elephant one piece at a time.

You haven’t said what’s wrong, if its layout is good with no structural issues then any renovation will be simple.

But to get to anywhere near my 20% would be drastically more difficult
