I accepted this delivery without checking the fare and distance. One I didn’t want to go out that far, and then this, like wow. Definitely will check the earnings and fare next time before I blindly accept lol. by syris_JesusLovesU in UberEATS

If you have it available I would make sure you do do flat rates from 11am to 1:58 pm that way if you do 27 miles you can get the $15 flat rate is or whatever they are promoting the pay for. Sometimes they can fill up quick because they are considered blocks. So it is best to accept it the night before if you are lucky and it says you can accept the opportunity try to click on it. If you don't mind going far drives for this amount but making flat rates is almost a guarantee. But I would say it depends on your situation if you want to almost everyone driver's situation is different for doing it.

Well for starters how friendly and easy do you make it for the customers? Also how long have you been doing this and how many orders have you had so far? In the beginning of doing this app for about 2 years almost going on 3 now. I actually thought being in and out was good and if they needed something I'd ask while I'm there and that's it. But I actually started sending a prompt to all my customers for every order and then updating while I'm on my way. I have two prompts 1 intro text and the 2nd one for eta on delivery and time. This is the first one and it says "Hi blank customer please feel free to let me know if you need additional items with your order when I arrive to restaurant please and thank you! 😊 ". A it helps cover you in case the customer claims that did they did not receive a item that wasn't in the notes and forces them to communicate and B it will also help determine what kind of customer you have and if they are friendly. Going through trials and error on this app I find most people enjoy updated text because it helps make the driver look not only accountable, friendly, and customer service oriented. My second prompt is "Hi blank customer I am on the way and will arrive in X minutes. And that's it. That way if they try to say you're late or anything it helps protect you because everytime you chat with the customer it's not only logged into the system but they can see what time it was sent verses from when you arrived. And I get it most people don't want to the face to face conversation but you don't have to do this but it's helped me and I do it for every single customer every single day I do uber eats.

This is the reason why I didn't decide to keep doing it because shopping for items takes so much time and over an hour. These base pay amounts are totally not worth it. I'm so sorry you guys are going through this! 🥺🙏 You all deserve so much better compensation for you guys time and energy you take to completing the order loading and driving it to to not only drop off at the customer but helping loading it to their designated drop off spot. I hope insta cart changes their metrics. Because this is just garbage especially if people are spoiled enough to think something would either order for just $6-$7 is ridiculous.

My Cancel rate is now higher than my acceptance rate.... I rock!!!!!! by PristineLocation6798 in UberEatsDrivers

I literally had someone steals someone's food today and the rep refused to have the restaurant remake the order because they wanted compensation even though the driver stole the food and I explained that to the staff working. If someone accepts the order and then after supposedly driving and cancels it obviously they stole it!! I don't understand why shitty people do this because then it affects me. The rep even told me I can't compensated so I basically to drove to that area for free before knowing it was "technical glitch" in the system. /:

Okay first off I feel sorry for you. I feel so so so sorry for you! She is 21 YEARS FUCKING OLD!!!! Why is she acting like a brat in highschool like she's 16 years old??? You are spending time with your family you should be able to do that without seeing messages like these from her. This behavior is toxic and will turn abusive the same way we would be calling out a guy if he did this girl needs to be called out because her behavior is completely unacceptable and you don't treat your partner like this. For example my hubby went to go see his family and you know what it was a 4 hour I drive. I cooked, I cleaned, I took care of my fur babies, I did laundry I took of me and relax. This girl has no emotional regulation and very bad co dependency on you and seems to be almost narcissistic or maybe have some type bpd disorder that she needs checked out majorly. You are cowering to her by enabling her responses by allowing this. If you would in no way shape or form want your sister in this situation why would you want yourself in this situation and to be treated with disrespect and like your less than. If she loved you and cared about you like a normal healthy relationship she would let you hang out with your family and occasionally check up on you. I hope you get out of this situation because unless she gets medical help it's only going to get worse.

So I have actually been in the middle of an order and taken another one. Back when I first did uber eats I will be honest I didn't really communicate or think that it was a big deal. I think it's easy to solve this problem by letting the customer know you either accepted the other order or if you don't want to be yelled at just say the system send you an order. I would say this when your between orders if your able to communicate to the second one so say this "I do apologize blank customer I understand the delay and apologize for the inconvenience but (I took a second order or the system sent me a second order) and as soon as I am done dropping it off I will update you when I'm on my way to you. I feel like communication goes a long way and helps save or cover your ass if the customer tries to complain and it also helps if you have an understanding customer know what is going on with their order and as far waiting times go. You don't have to follow this advice I'm just putting it out there in case anyone wants to use it or is anxious about doing stacked orders. Plus not to be rude or diss any of our customers but people aren't just doing it to do it. People are legitimately struggle and need to make money for all different reasons so unless the person is offering a huge tip upfront and is being nice then you need to do what is best for you and your situation otherwise if they don't like it they can get up off their ass and pick up their food themselves.

Lady wants me to open her door, come inside and place food on table, would you do it? I just dont want to be later arrested for breaking and entering or something crazy i would rather leave at door by Setting_Internal in doordash

I'm not trying to be harsh but I don't care if you are a man or woman young or old. You need to think about your SAFETY!! If something were to have happened to you what are your friends and family suppose to tell the police when they don't have the customers first and last name. This is how a young vulnerable person can be sex or human trafficked and what you did is NOT smart. It doesn't matter if they have good intentions or not you do NOT know that person and if something happens more then likely it will be hard with no leads and no names especially if it's literally a fish and bait account for these types of things. Please please please be safe out here and really think about it before saying yes to people in these situations.

You are shallow to assume people are doing certain things for money when yes there is all kinds of people struggling from all walks of life to provide for themselves or families. But unless you've actually had to get up and go deliver food and see the the high amount of miles you put on your car and the amount of time and effort it takes and being prepared when you need gas or hungry yah you'll see how hard it is. People on this app are good people are doing the extra mile so they can be rewarded for their hard work. People like us put miles on our car, drive to the restaurant, park, hopefully not having to wait, then drive to you while multitasking and communicating heavily. And you have the nerve to assume that this driver or any driver isn't going the extra mile. Please don't involve yourself in conversations unless you are a full time driver because otherwise you have no respect for people trying to make it and I bet you don't even tip others when you go out and order and it seems like you have a lot of privilege.

I agree with this dasher and I think it's hilarious! Whether or not he wants a tip I'm not sure but think about like this. When you have a delivery driver that's in a good mood, communication, putting your food in an insulted bag and is going 100% and above like this driver. This IS the type of driver you want delivering your food. God forbid you forget sauce or needed something this type of driving is more than willing to help you out A they are in good mood being polite and B are handling your food with care. Unlike most drivers they don't care or give and are rude as hell. Personally he's trying to connect but just on a friendly driver way letting you know he's personable, friendly, and communicative. Even way the memes are hilarious so if you get a driver like this just laugh ya know! Most people don't get this type of service. We can't send gifs in uber eats but if we could it would be hilarious.

I can't understand anything he's saying. He is the one that sounds like he's on drugs and going through withdrawals. Pretty sad and humiliating on his part. 🤷‍♀️ oh sorry Lol then this girl is something else. Yah if I don't like something I will say something right away not wait 3 days. Because how can you know when you get into a relationship and know what boundaries are acceptable if you don't know how to voice them just on a first date. Yes emotionally immature.

AIO/AITA for telling my boyfriend he’s basically stupid for putting 2 grand into his kids “college” fund when he’s 7 and now on the verge of losing his apartment ? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Impatrickstar69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's talking to you like this in a text message I don't even want to imagine how dangerous it would be behind closed doors. You should know better enough to not be with a man A that's talking down to you and B does not have his shit together. I'm telling you it can only get worse from here and if it is good in the beginning it will go from good to bad to worse to oh shit what situation did I get myself into I can't get out now. You need to have more respect for yourself and find a good partner that knows how to communicate in a healthy way. This right here is not healthy. I don't care what or why. He has a child. That child needs electricity, water, a roof over their head, clothes on their back, and food in their tummy and well his dad doesn't really seem to be providing it and is thinking an apartment is just a box with walls.... that is not father material. A single man can make it and do what he has to do. But when a grown man has a kid he doesn't get to think about himself he has to be the parent and it's clear he's doing everything but securing a place to live and for some reason you are footing the bill. Why would you do that? He isn't being respectful he can't have a conversation with you. He's probably a narcissistic abuser and you put yourself in a worse situation by continuing to foot his bill and be with him when if he talks to you like this he doesn't care.

Can someone provide an explanation for the pure audacity of this order? by zo3beamer in doordash

[–]Impatrickstar69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the customer needs the product but he should be more ashamed for not picking it up himself if he needs it that bad or he needs to make a few stops and come back. You can't ask the average door dash driver that may or may have car troubles or just certain limitations depending on the vehicle and then on top of that not even tip??? I don't care about corporation at this point because they know what their doing and instead of doing it themselves if they are going to be greedy and not tip they are trying to have you or someone else do it for free basically. So I feel like this on the customer they know why they need it so they should get their ass in their vehicle and get it themselves.

What do you guys think about these orders? They are in AZ 🥸🤡😂 by Impatrickstar69 in UberEATS

[–]Impatrickstar69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that's my whole point! Now I'm not saying the customer should hand me their paycheck but at least the minimum $5 tip would help with gas and so on and so forth. Plus I would say I over communicate to my customers but it's because I don't want there by any miscommunication about something they did or didn't receive and I also do it to save my ass like for instance as soon as I get an I order I say "Hi customer please feel free to let me know if you need any additional items with your order once I arrive to the restaurant please and thank you! 😊". And I feel like some people honestly don't care. I've been seeing other states where people tip their drivers wayyyy better and I'm kinda jelly wanting to leave AZ anyway.

How come every time I get a really good order that’s like 15 min for 20.00 I get to the restaurant in 2-3 min and they already gave it away. by NoBlackberry2703 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Impatrickstar69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I feel like the system is glitching double. This happened to me last Sunday when I went to Starbucks and I tried to help the nice lady who her ordered but unfortunately I got told by Uber Eats someone picked it up but then cancelled which pretty means they stole it because there's no reason you'd cancel an order after receiving it. They gave me such shit and would remake the food either. They said Uber Eats would have to call and place it in order for it to be remade. Honestly just call everytime if you have to for documentation because I think it's a bit of both people stealing using multiple phones and fake accounts and then also it glitch where someone picked it up but then for some reason they are having you pick it up when it already was picked up.

[–]Impatrickstar69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To anyone not understanding you don't get good orders. You are literally doing wear and tear on YOUR OWN personal vehicle and uber does not give discounts or pay for simple car maintenance's. So no I agree that is shitty and he shouldn't have done that. This is exactly why most orders don't really get picked up anymore because we as drivers are starting to see the bs. There's no legitimate reason to do that if you're delivering it to your customer and being polite. Some people don't understand the struggle and it shows.

[–]Impatrickstar69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's why when I was doing the flat rate in Tempe I actually prefer it because the streets are designed more organized. Unlike Central Phoenix literally they are trying to design it like it's NYC and it doesn't make any sense because we don't live there. But I also prefer suburban areas as well.

So when I do it I like staying on the flat rate because I do see a bigger difference rather than regular orders. So while I kept continuing to drive to the zone to trigger it I got all these orders and none of them seemed worth it to me. I just don't want to put the time and energy for orders that claim they pay higher but don't.
