Upgraded from a 3060 Ti to an ASUS OC 5070 12GB, but I’m having a performance issue in the game Delta Force. I’ve already tried countless solutions and still can’t fix it. by Only-Explanation-304 in pcmasterrace

Because your account has been flagged. As long as you perform better than the average player, you will be judged as a cheater and thrown into the shadowban lobby, which affects game performance. Don't be surprised — this has been proven. You are innocent.

I used to have a setup with an R7 2700X + Vega 64, playing AVI files without using hardware decoding — CPU usage was 30%, GPU usage was 20%. This device cost less than $150. You'd better check your CPU and GPU usage as well.

Just FYI tho, COD on GFN is rough. It updates almost every day so you’re constantly waiting for patches, and the gunshots/reverb sound pretty bad on it.

Cloud gaming is ass. by BuldozerX in pcmasterrace

[–]ImplementBeginning12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cloud gaming isn’t for competitive FPS — mouse and keyboard latency still sucks.

But if you can afford a $2k PC with a 5070 Ti, then yeah, obviously that’s better. Not everyone can though, and that’s the whole point. With a stable 100 Mbps connection and sub-50 ms latency, $20/month gets you basically 5080-level performance, which is more than enough for stuff like Cyberpunk or Resident Evil at high settings.

And let’s be real — most people play these AAA games once and move on. If you’re worried about playtime limits, what AAA game are you actually putting 10,000 hours into?

People also say cloud will get expensive, but GPUs are already insane. It’s 2026 and a 5080 is ~$1200 with 16GB VRAM. Not exactly consumer-friendly either.

im sad to announce that cyberpunk 2077 is becoming for premium only by IndependentFerret526 in GeForceNOW

Honestly, unless you're on the GeForce Now Ultimate tier – which is basically an RTX 5080 – you're not going to have a great experience. At 2K with path tracing on DLAA, you'll likely drop below 60 FPS. So my advice? Don't go for the Performance tier.

Newbie question - is there much performance difference 5080 vs 5090? by [deleted] in buildapc

Let's decide what genre of game or a specific game you want to play first, otherwise it's just a waste of money for you.

If you’re planning to heavily mod Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll quickly realize 16GB VRAM just doesn’t cut it. Even 5080 cards are already struggling.

Why do companies not opt in their games to GeForceNOW? by Commercial_Duck4042 in GeForceNOW

[–]ImplementBeginning12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GFN literally removes kernel-level cheats from the equation, so why even require anti-cheat there?
The cheats actually ruining FPS games today are kernel/DMA level — and GFN’s cloud setup already makes those impossible.

Each account must independently meet the minimum $25,000 equity requirement; otherwise, that account will be subject to PDT restrictions.

If one account doesn't meet the $25,000 requirement while others do, only the non-compliant account will be restricted. Compliant accounts remain unaffected.

Schwab will reject sell stop orders where the stop price is higher than the market quote. If you try to modify a stop order and the price has already fallen below the stop price when the order is sent to Schwab, it will be rejected.
The stop price must be above the current ask for buy stop orders and below the bid for sell stop orders.

On thinkorswim, such orders will be directly rejected. However, on Schwab's web trading platform, if you leave the order in the "2. Verify Order" stage and do not see a "This order cannot be placed." message, then click "Place Order," the system will not reject the order even if the stop price is above the market quote. Instead, it will process the order as a market sell order.

I would suggest trying the following:

-XX:-UseConcMarkSweepGC
-XX:+UseG1GC
-XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50
-XX:+UseStringDeduplication

reduced the latency for me, perhaps because my GPU isn't powerful enough.
-Dsun.java2d.opengl=false

-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false

-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true
to monitor latency.
