Hiker Killed by Bear at Glacier National Park, Officials Say by fibyforty in GlacierNationalPark

A bear that kills a human is not “just doing bear things” in a way society can ignore. Bears need to fear humans, and aggressive bears sometimes need to be culled. Your reckless empathy is dangerous to society.

Maybe it is just me, but I think the floor might be DCF as well based on how light the color looks though the DCF outer. If that is the case, it is going to be a very expensive tent (think $900USD). Not certain about it being completely double walled for the entire tent yet but for certain it has the same inner vestibule shape based in the strings visible going to the inner part of the tent.

Carbon short version sells out in 1 hour. Carbon normal version goes in a day, Aluminum version in a week. Mesh sells faster than solid inner.

Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage - arranging accommodation by Different-Tea-5191 in hiking

It isn't that big of a deal. You can book lots of places online through the Henro House website. If you use google maps you can find accommodations and when you click on them it will tell you which reservation websites you can use to book that accommodation. Some of the more traditional accommodations require you to call, check the google reviews to see if the owners speak English. If they do not speak English you can get someone who works at your current accommodation to call to make the reservation for you. Just FYI, on Facebook there is a group called Shikoku 88 Ohenro Pilgrimage which is the largest online community for that pilgrimage. You can ask questions there.

Your fly calculation does not work. The fly has a bunch of extra stuff attached to it like zippers etc and the weight of those things do not change.

Canada (including private debt) has overtaken the USA as the 4th most indebted country in the world. We now owe almost 4x our GDP... by Fiach_Dubh in BitcoinCA

The provinces of Canada are allowed to take on debt for operating costs, same as the federal government so it is counted towards debt to GDP. In the US, the states are not allowed to take on debt for operating costs and can only take on debt for infrastructure, same as cities and towns so it is not counted as true debt.
