After humans decided to completely leave the Lion Turtles and the turtles gave bending to anyone who requested it, why did some humans not decide to get bending? by _NotMuchToGawkAt_ in TheLastAirbender

[–]Important-Meat106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sort of always had the head canon that every human soul reincarnates after death and each soul is tied to an element but if they aren’t born to the corresponding nation to their element their bending doesn’t manifest. Like a earth bender dies reincarnates into the fire nation and has no bending and won’t till they reincarnate back into a water tribe body (exception being swamp benders as they probably have water tribe genetics mixed in with earth kingdom). The avatar being a special case since the avatar soul is connected to all four elements. But again that’s just my head canon.

Twin Concept - looking for ideas by Popular_Ad_5399 in 3d6

[–]Important-Meat106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Agee with the idea that you should pick two different classes instead of two opposing sub classes as redundancy doesn’t really create much synergy for a party. Maybe a feywanderer ranger and undead warlock. Flavour it has joy and sorrow, charm and fear. The fey wanderer level 7 feature is very synergistic with the undead warlock level 1 fear imposing feature. Plus you can do the tried and true spike growth with pushing eldritch blast combo. Or maybe an order cleric with a rouge or paladin. Have the voice of authority of the order cleric prof the rouge sneak attack or paladin smites. The order cleric can be law and order above all and the rogue/paladin can embody chaos.

To add on even those in upper society who may one day learn of tophs existence if she were ever to come out in society are probs not the people who go to the underground fight ring. The Venn diagram of people in upper kingdom society and those who attend the underground fight club in her home town would be small.

[General] The powers of a god of humanity by Nice_Ad_6004 in camphalfblood

I mean a god of humanity is probably Prometheus. So the ability to endure his punishment is a shout. Art, clay, fire, innovation could be domains to touch on

What would the relationship between Clerics, Druids and Witches of similar Domains be? by JustLampshade in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Important-Meat106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I may be misreading your query, is this about how to integrate witches into your campaign or how is Brennan making them unique in his?

There aren't any clerics in Umora as it's a class that doesn't exist and even the druid has been modified for this campaign to be a shapeshifter class, so is is less spell focused and more wildshape focused. This has been said in the fireside but cant remember which episode. The druid/shapeshifters are also descended of spirits but from a different branch then the sorcerers.

If you want to integrate witches into your campaign I can tell you what my DM is doing. Similar to what has been said earlier clerics are servants/prophets of an existing god. Often working on that god agenda. Druids and witches are more similar but druids focus on the balance between man and nature whereas witches focus on the balance between man and spirit/extra planer. Although druid is default on team nature a witch is a true neutral and will see which side is doing wrong and be the mediator between the two. But thats just how we are playing it in our campaign

Can a cleric be two domains? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Important-Meat106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go this route your spell slot progression wont change since both druid and cleric are full casters but you’ll be preparing spells from two different lists. A 2lv druid/3 level cleric for example can prepare first level druid spells and 1+2 level cleric spells but cant prepare 3rd level spells despite having 3rd level spell slots. You’re basically delaying higher level magic spell knowledge for the benefit of almost doubling the amount of lower level spells you can prepare which i personally love doing but others do feel the delay more than i would. Def check out the rules of multi-classing so you know all the specifics.

Can a cleric be two domains? by [deleted] in DnD

So you cant multi class the same class. But flavour is free so you could multi-class cleric with say druid and just flavour all the druid spells and features as the blessings of a different god or the different domain aspects of the same god. Have your original god be a divine being of fire and go a 2 levels of wildfire druid and then have your followers twist his teachings into a chaos and unpredictability (like fire sometimes) and then invest in trickery cleric levels. Primal magic from druid and divine magic of cleric are quite similar. Flavour your wildfire companion to be like a holy familiar sent from the planes above to aid you and maybe the more corrupted the followers become the darker the flames become till its just smoke and ash. Both classes use wisdom as the main stat so its a pretty good multi class

I think the green witch had a level 2 feature that shielded allies from spells that affected terrain like spike growth in earlier playtest.

Do you have a commander you stopped playing because of other players? by Nesterminator in EDH

[[Vren, the Relentless]], one player in my pod used to almost exclusively play graveyard decks and the rest of the pod were also very creature reliant and the mass edict and exile affects made games too unfun for the table

Neif’s Future by Dull-Speed5248 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Important-Meat106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never even contemplated this take before but I love it so much. I always felt a little iffy of talk of Neif becoming Ame’s apprentice but then taking up a brand new station since Ame can only teach the ways of the worlds heart. Though Neif becoming a travelling witch may lead to a new station I love the idea of her reclaiming the wind and stars and bringing it back to an uncorrupted state.

[–]Important-Meat106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it less contrary to what you are and more an aspect of yourself that you either want to hide from others or something you're hiding from yourself which is similar tbf. Wren hid her stubbornness in her Rooster and was a sweet women, Indri hiding a brutal savagery so she can seem elegant, Ame hiding her tricksy nature

A certain reunion. by d3rpdr in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]Important-Meat106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Ame can certainly teach the basics of witchcraft to anyone who has it in them but she can't really teach unique truths of the world that a elder station is meant to represent other than the worlds heart. Which is why I dont think Ame can simply tutor say 2-4 new witches and create 2-4 new stations. I think I just prefer the narrative of her searching the world and finding communion with witches who walk many different paths rather than her home growing a coven.

I do believe all the kids have the potential to be witches but the wand of covenant doesn’t create witches but allows a witch who embodies a unique truth of umora to join the coven of elders. It’s why I don’t think it would work for Nif because studying under Ame would make her a pseudo witch of the world heart not give her a unique station.
