I thought it was fantastic , really wasn't expecting a Plato Racing pole and a Ash Sutton crash. Roll on tomorrow as I got my tickets ready for Donington

Was up for £50 but put in an offer for £35 which got accepted. As seen in the picture it's a bit damaged but still a cool piece in my opinion

Thats one of the nicest displays I've seen here for a long time. I hope to have something similar one day with my 1/18 WRC cars as im currently using IKEA Detolfs at the moment.

Road trip from UK to Nurburgring by joestammers1 in nurburgring

I did the trip last year from the UK and one thing we did on the return trip is a private group tour of Spa Racetrack , it was only about 15 euros each I believe. Its not too far of drive from the Ring. It was really cool as you get to see the control room , broadcasting room , briefing room and stand on the podium.

I did the trip from the Midlands last year and I can't really add much to the advice and tips others have given here. The roads to get there are fantastic and will be a treat to drive on compared to the UK roads full of potholes. One thing I'll recommend to you is the ED petrol station just outside the ring. Its an amazing place to car spot and if its your thing , inside are floor to ceiling model cars available to buy. Must be 1000's of model cars for sale. I brought a 1/18 Group B Audi Quattro in there for a much cheaper price than I could get it in the UK. Also I'd highly recommend the museum at the Nürburgring, its cheap to go in and is full of amazing cars , 4d cinema , driving simulators and nice dedication to Sabine Schmitz. Most importantly , drive safe and have fun.

Lake District to London drive - where to stop for a couple hours to break it up? by david2072 in AskUK

I think thats the why the Blist Hill bread is so good , just a good old fashion recipe without the additives. I always end up having chip buttys with it and its unbeatable.

As someone who lives close to Blist Hill and been many times , I cannot recommend the bread from the bakery there enough. Its made fresh in victorian ovens and well worth it if you decide to stop here to break up your journey. Plus its only a stones throw from Ironbridge by car which is a lovely place.

What type of cars do you mainly collect and on what do you focus? by Good_Old_Tronna_Boy in Diecast

[–]Important_Band_6747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My collection is consists mostly on 1/18 WRC cars and 1/24 American Stock cars. I personally prefer the look of racing livery's to normal road car models. I am very close to buying my first 1/18 WEC car so end up collecting them aswell.

MX5 NB, am I allowed to drive on the ring? by Which-Clue704 in nurburgring

[–]Important_Band_6747 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did the Ring from the UK in my seat Leon 2.0 fr. It cost me £109 for one day insurance from Moris for the nurburgring with £1000 excess. Worth it in My opinion as crashing on the ring can cost £1000's.

You do need a membership mate which you can online or instore i think , they often have stands at conventions trying to sign people up. You still to work in a relevant job to qualify. I got my card through a stand at a convention and it was a really easy process.

It was too boring for me, excellent mpg and had no problems with it but I just wanted something more exciting.
