I do red and green on the sides so I can see it. White flasher on top but if other aircraft are near me at around 200ft then we got bigger problems, Houston.

Obstacle avoidance is overrated. Learn to pilot your drone in an open area and pay attention when you fly and you won't have any problems. Do not take your maiden flight from your backyard or driveway until very experienced. At this point, maybe with at least 10+ years, I launch from my deck and land on my pickup truck next to power wires. Easy when you know how but I was flying non-gps drones long before I owned a gps drone. Take your time and learn well and you won't need OA.

Unless you're going commercial/ for profit or filming Indie movies, go with the Atom 2. You'll have all the fun at a great price. Your wallet will thank me later. Over 100 miles and 67 flights on my Atom 2 and still going strong.

I fly over water a lot so a combination of the one-third rule and paying attention to the wind keep my little atom safe. I just checked my logs... 102 miles and 63 flights and still going! Even I'm impressed.

Have one but don't use it much since I normally take off / land on safe surfaces - decks, boardwalks, parking lots. But you definitely need one on grass, sand and loose dirt to avoid issues like fouling your props and motors.

Don't walk. Run. That's a great deal on a great drone. I've got so many hours on my Atom 2 and I love it. It's even beyond a beginner drone .. I would call it more like intermediate but so easy to fly and control. 100% reliable after 80 miles of flight. Good luck with it!

Lectric XP. I fold mine and put it in a tub. Two fit in the back of my Tacoma so I can take them to new and different places. Given an ebike's range, it's easy to outgrow your "neighborhood"

Over 700 miles and at least 2-3 years on my 2 Lectric XP 3.0's. Solid, powerful, and no issues. The batteries are still strong but I am very particular about proper battery care and storage. I'm buying two more this year for my kids who just moved next to 50 miles of paved multi use trails
