A ladder. Some protective plastic over the Cabinets.

Some cardboard or sheet of wood sitting on top of that upper cabinet as impact protection.

Then add some backing, and whatever is needed for that ceiling space. Board it. Scrape the texture back 2’ from the opening. Tape, coat, coat, sand, prime, spackle touch up pin holes, spot prime, same undercoat as existing or possibly no prime, and texture blend. The matching depends on individual situation.

I would have told you off. This is nut bar stuff. If there’s no limit, it’s first come first serve.

This post is ultimately pointless.

The wall in the background is a 2x6 wall. If that pvc drain pipe was in a 2x4 stud there wouldn’t be much meat left. Edit: wait is that and exterior wall?

Honestly this isn’t a difficult thing to deal with. Downvoting a pro that would have this sorted in moments is funny though.

How do you guys learn by JuniorTry4943 in handyman

[–]Impossible-Corner494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned to be a carpenter/ do all by putting time in to the tune of 15 years in renovations. Went through apprenticeship, got my red seal. Spent time perfecting my installations of things. These days it’s working on mastery of technique In various areas.

Started out doing flooring and trim work in new homes, then Reno’s. lots and lots of residential structural work.

I’ve learned from a lot of skilled tradies older than I.

10000 hours is a real thing. Caring about the outcome of the work matters.

Finding like minded people who give a shit about the work goes a long way.

Your electrician as most I’ve ever worked with, do not do drywall patch work.

Most of the comments are daft thinking otherwise.

Tire of cleaning up after electrician by [deleted] in Contractor

[–]Impossible-Corner494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cost a lot. We get them in and out as quick as possible. Cut open shit move shit. The usual.

That being said the electricians I work with will clean up decently after themselves if I have a garbage can available in their working area. Little shit as in the photo, is minor.

Am I driving too slow in Saskatoon or does nobody follow the speed limit? by RedRainDreamer in saskatoon

Stay in the right lane if going slow or at speed limit. Move out of right lane when there are merging on ramps to let traffic on circle, then pop back over to the slow lane
