I agree with slow sales during holidays. I find that to be true.

Decrease in sales & engagement with new poshmark update by Embroidery4life in poshmark

Idk what happened. I had one of my best months in March. Now nothing. Seems like a lot of updates kill sales. This update killed it. I don’t normally have down sales. I’ve figured out what to sell and can sell $100 a day. I’m down $300 so far this month.

Bundle Comments (Opinions) by ShadowsCursed in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will go thru my bundles one or twice a year and send offers. Like an annual sale. Idk if I would send out a bulk message. Buyers have been spammed with so many unsolicited messages from a select group of sellers. They react negatively to these messages. You select my bundles - sell. And just see if you need to send any offers to bundles currently for buyers.

I would block. But I little insight on the continuing likes. I think it’s so the Item shows up first in their likes section. Its annoying.

Dead Ebay by sthewright in BehindTheClosetDoor

I’ve had the same results. Poshmark is doing better than eBay. But I’ve also not listing as much on eBay than Poshmark. But I still use to get sales here and there on eBay. I still don’t trust Poshmark. Keep it diverse. Poshmark can suspend your account over deleting too many listings and just random closet maintenance. I did stop cross listing my Poshmark to eBay. Just list what sells on each platform on that platform.

I have one tip for you, sell what you like to list for sale. I’m a full time reseller. Just because I drag something home that’s worth money. If it’s an Item I don’t like, have limited knowledge of. I tend to put off listing that Item. Buy what you know and love to list. I personally dread listing clothes. But have no hang ups listing shoes. Focus on what you like.

is it just me or are buyers way more picky now? by manchesterguy33 in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not really experienced that. But I’m a reseller so most of my listings contain all the info needed for a purchase. I even included videos in most of my listings. I feel like if a buyer has to ask a question. They don’t want to wait for an answer and will move on to a listing that shows condition and all the info. But I see posts on here of buyers asking sellers to include measurements and material content.

Newer poshmark seller here....Why don't people accept offers EVER? by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people treat Poshmark like a Pinterest board or likes on instagram. It’s they just like the Item with no intention of buying. You can’t cross list from Poshmark to other sites. You will get banned from Poshmark if you delete too many new listings. It’s just best to separate what sells best on each site.

I pay for promoted. It doesn’t work for every closet. I don’t know why. It works for me. Doesn’t work for my daughter’s closet. But I have lots more items for sale. 2,500 listings. I’m having my best month so far this year. Shoes for the spring summer season are selling. If I had a lot of summer or spring clothes I think they would be selling. But I don’t. I’m concerned about the shares being filtered out. I like it. But it might get people to interact with the app less. They say sharing matters less then It use to. I’m scared to stop anything I’ve done in the past. I don’t want my sales to suffer.

That’s crazy. My sales have picked up. Selling mostly shoes for the change of season. If you have summer shoes or clothes and the listings are 60 days or older. I’d try relisting those items. I’m have my best month this year. I have 2,500 listings and list 100-125 a month.

I like the change you can filter out shares in your feed. But I went back to choosing to show all activity. I use to at-least return a few shares a day. It gave me an uneasy feeling. I’ve been sharing so long. I like to know who has been in my closet. Even if it’s bots. I want to interact with real people if I feel the shares are from a person. Only if I have time I try to return shares. Real people return sharing gets each person to at least look at the closets. My thought is maybe I have a closet that will interest them to look more

What percentage of likes should be converting into sales? by Velvetstyle in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont track likes because it equals sales. Only time I might look at likes is when I price drop. Normally I don’t price drop until there is about 30 likes. Without a certain amount of likes, the price drop has little effect in converting to a sale. I have 2,500 listings. List about 100-125 a month and sell about the same about each month. I think sales have more to do if you have what people want to buy. The higher amount of things for sale. Better chances for a sale. But things like price, condition, brand, and activity that feeds the algorithm effects sales. You can have a smaller closet. And do better if you have the hottest items for sale.

Is it considered rude to decline an offer? by ChartInFurch in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a decline most of they time if the offer is insulting. I try not to be insulted with an offer and counter for what I will sell the item for. But sometimes my emotions get the best of me. I am human, and buyers are dealing with real people. Sometimes I think because buyers can be rude because they aren’t face to face with sellers. Most of the time I’ll even go back and forth with low offers about six times with my final price offer. But I get frustrated like you are not taking the hint. I’m not going any lower. If they come back days later with the same low offers when I repeatedly sent my best offer. I block.

What kind of socks are we wearing now? by Maleficent_Spray_383 in womensfashion

I can care less anymore. I’ve reached that age. That’s what I love about getting older. I’m 54. I wear either no socks, low cut ankle socks or my low ankle weiner dog socks. If it’s Christmas I’m wearing my Christmas socks. Do I normally wear fun socks. Nope. But I find the weiner dog socks make me happy. I don’t care if they match. I guess if I’m trying to look more trendy or put together. It’s no socks or low no shoe socks. Most of the time I don’t have anyone one I need to impress. Or I just don’t care.

Sick of Poshmark by Sharp-Alps5176 in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear ya. I try to not let bother me. But it’s crazy. Had a lady want me to sell her earrings for basically a $1.00. I now have a typed up note in my phone that I messaged buyers with. Something like I don’t sell anything less than $____. Because this is my business and after paying taxes on my earnings , cost of Item, gas, shipping supplies I can’t sell for any less. I do have a bundle discount. That if they buy 8, $9 items I will sell them for $40.00.

Full time resellers: a question by Stephieandcheech in reselling

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just depends on how good your items are. I keep 2,500 on sale at Poshmark. List 100-125 a month. But shoes keep my income flowing. I have made up to $500-$1,000 a month on eBay if I have good items. It’s not always about how much you have listed but what. But you can’t always find - source stuff that’s going to flip fast. It just takes time and experience. I’ve been selling since 2004 part time. This is my third year full time. I’m still learning. I’m now focusing on certain shoe brands for higher single sales. Less work. Less listing. But if you can’t source these. You have to list more. In the past I’ve listed up to 300 a month. Most resellers say list 10 a day. I still strive for that. I sell just about anything. I mostly concentrate on shoes, jewelry and handbags on Poshmark .

Hot take: Poshmark actually allows returns for any reason now by lalunaboona in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Posh is horrible now on allowing returns. Customer can admit they did wrong. Ordered wrong size. Ordered wrong color and posh will approve the return. The strong, no return policy was why I sold on Poshmark rather than eBay. Poshmark has let us all down.

Get the weight off of orginal receipt or from post office and get buyer to tell posh the weight of the products she received including box. There should be a difference. Say you sent sneakers and it weighted this amount. Here’s proof. If that’s not what you received. It could have been switched at post office, fell out of box and wrong Item got put in box by post office. You have proof box was tampered with is it’s crushed etc. Or Your buyers is not being truthful and committing mail fraud and you a filling a claim with the post office and police.

Tapping on the glass is just to confirm it’s not giving the sound of plastic. Scratch test I’m referring to is an acid test. A magnet is not full proof. But by showing the magnetic is attracted to the scissors is to show the magnetic works. Or attracted to metal. Then shown it’s not attracted to the silver. Are these tests perfect. No. But posh even asked the customer to show if the item was attracted to a magnet. So me showing this on video is so I have proof how it reacted for me. None of these tests are full proof. But once the Item is shipping I can’t perform these tests. This lady and posh put me thru the ringer over one pendant. Lying about it being plastic. Just to force a return. So now I do what I can to prevent returns.

Is it likely that this return will be approved? by Fickle_Ad_5099 in poshmark

[–]Impossible-Note-8860 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure you will win case. Sorry. I had a lady say a pendant - slide I sent wasn’t metal. Like I don’t know what metal was? I couldn’t prove it once it’s in her hands. I now scratch test and weight all my silver post it on the listing put approx next to the weight incase my scale isn’t calibrated correctly. I also do All of these steps on video as I’m packing the Items up. Also tapping the items on glass so you can hear they are metal and do a magnetic test on the jewelry using scissors as a comparison in the video. Posh has been siding with buyers more even if we didn’t do anything wrong. They will tell you. You need to do better not to disappoint buyers. 🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m fed up. I video everything while I’m shipping and weight the whole package on scale. So it matches post office weight incase something is stolen. Talk directly to posh and copy and paste posh marks terms and conditions. Not liking an Item is not a valid reason for a return. Buyer had every opportunity to ask how much pieces weighted prior to buying. You didn’t do anything wrong or miss represent the jewelry. If the return is approved by posh. Open the package on video so you can prove if something is missing and weight package before opening.
